Had fun with those freebies last year! My store had a limit of 2 transactions per person though so you couldn’t keep rolling and rolling the ECB’s.

  2. Yuppp

    What does EB stand for?

    • Nicole

      Extra Bucks

    • Sarah

      Extra Care Bucks

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

They recently changed it to say Extra Bucks instead of Extra Care Bucks, so we are using EB for the future (instead of ECB)…hope that helps! 🙂

    • Terry M

Yuppp, you use the extra care bucks on a future purchase. 🙂

  3. Aliza

From the ad it looks like these are pre-Thanksgiving/Black Friday deals. Looks like its the Sun-Wednesday deals that week. Still good of course and hopefully MORE free stuff for the Thanksgiving/Black Friday circular.

    • Aliza

Oops. Duh. Just saw you had said that in your illustration. I had just read Black Friday 🙂

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        No problem! 🙂

  4. Aliza

Oops. Duh. Just saw you had said pre- in your illustration. I had just read Black Friday 🙂

  5. Linda

I don’t shop at cvs but with these deals I might have to. Can someone explain what EB are? They are extra bucks and I assume I need a cvs card but what happens then? Do the EB get loaded to the card? So I have to buy all these items first with cash then I can do another transaction to get more items for free using the card that I earned the EB on? Thanks for the help

    • Linda

Linda- You do need a cvs card to receive the EB, and you can only use the EB for that card. For example the ludens are $1.00 you get $1.00 EB. So you pay the $1 up front and you’ll get a paper EB. You can turn around and spend the $1EB right away or save it for next time. The EB expires 2 weeks from purchase but most stores will still accept them a few days after expiration. Keep in mind some items are limited to just one EB, white other might be more. So once you reach the limit of EB, it won’t print more EB, for example the ludens are only limited to one EB, so if you bought 3, you’ll pay $3, and only get $1 EB.

      • Shayla

Did they change the exp date to only 2 weeks instead of a month on EB? It’s been awhile since I have been shopping at cvs and didn’t know if that is an updated policy change…thanks

        • Shopper

          No, it’s still a month.

      • Jean

We just got a CVS, If I get a card and my husband gets a card and he gets $1 EB, can I use that EB with my card.

        • Shopper

It’s one card per household, the system will link them. You can only use EB that are from a transaction with your card, they are coded and stated what card number its attached to on the EB. The system will say if not for your card.

        • Susi

You can only use the EB prints from the card they were earned with. HTH!

        • Jean

          Thank you

  6. Kadi

I love when CVS does this! I still have some stuff from last year!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Sweet!

  7. Jenni

CVS is rockin’ it this year again! Thank you CVS and Hip2Save! These are phenomenal stocking stuffers for the kids and/or donate-able items!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Great idea Jenni! You’re welcome 😉

  8. Iinda

Lol what’s a magic coupon machine?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

When you walk in your CVS there is a red coupon machine. You can scan your store card there and it will print a few offers out for you. Hope that helps!

      • Linda

Thanks for the info. So all machines in every cvs will print out that toothpaste coupon starting 11/22?

        • johnstelmack

YES!!! One per CVS Card. Other q’s print here as well. I’d suggest signing up for the Beauty Club as well. You earn $5EB for every $50 spent. You can send these to your card or they will print at the Magic Coupon Machine!

You can also scan products at the machine to validate pricing.

  9. jhnicole

Linda, Its a tall red&yellow box in the store. It price checks and spits out cvs store coupons. Thanks collin

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome 😉

  10. Happymama

Is is amazing or sad that I’m way more excited about free pantyliners on Black Friday instead of standing in line at 2am for a tv! LOL, Thanks for your pre-black Friday sales…I’m done with my little one:)

    • Jen

      Same here!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Lol! It is a great deal to grab!

    • Caryn

      lol 🙂

  11. Nikole

I just saw the black Friday ad for TARGET as well omg can’t wait!

  12. Jayna

Does anyone have a free shipping code for Shutterfly they are not going to use? I’m wanting to order my dad a coffee mug but the shipping is so high. My email is momof105@gmail.com

  13. Ben

Hey Collin! Check your prices on the Pact Drinks. You got $1.50 and $1.99 as prices.

  14. Krystle Anne

Happy that the CVS deals are good. The Walgreens Black Friday ad was sort of disappointing.

Question though: I’ve had a CVS card for a couple of years now, but recently downloaded the CVS app and saw that I only receive the “App only coupons” and not the other coupons I used to get (ex. $4 off $15 razors) Went to the store and they don’t print from the ticket machine either. Is that a new thing? Has anyone else had that problem?

    • Ashley

Check your settings on the app. You may have “gone paperless”, which means your coupons and EBs will only show up on your app and won’t print. I realized I did this when my EBs didn’t print recently.

    • Shopper

App only coupons are new and stated in the ads. They are seperate from personalized coupons and the ones that print for everyone.

    • Sarah

This also happened to me when I downloaded the app i miss my other coupons and don’t get near as good of deals now I would advise people not to get the app on account of this!!!

      • Mel

App has nothing to do with what coupons that you get in your acct. It might just be coincidence, but it happens several times a year, they do a purge so other cardholders get an opportunity to get offers. Just have to wait it out until you get back in the circle.

  15. NANNYROSE

I am so excited that we finally got a CVS in our area, it opened last week. I will have to search where Collin has the directions on how it all works.

  16. Carol_R

    Thanks Collin.

  17. Iinda

Coupon etiquette is it wrong to do multiple transactions so you spend less out of pocket with these deals? Rathe than buying them all at once?? And getting back the EBs all at once. For example buy 3 items for .99 then do another transaction for 3 items .99 and use the EBs to get those for free. Your spending less out of pocket by just buying 3 rather than buying all items at once with this deal?

    • Lauren

Linda, there is nothing wrong with splitting up the transactions! I always do a lot of planning for this particular sale, so I can get as close to $0 out of pocket as possible. I usually do 3 or 4 transactions, depending on how many EBs I have accumulated before the sale. There are always a lot of other couponers there doing the same thing. It’s super fun 🙂

    • mich

I think this is something that is totally acceptable, but if there is a line of people behind you, I would recommend probably going back in line again just so others could go, which was what I was planning on doing for these transactions.

      • Sarah

I agree and I also agree with the getting back in line part it stinks to have to wait and wait but it’s the only way I can feel right about doing it!

      • Sharon

I would say it depends on how well organized you are before you step up to the register. I also usually do 3 or 4 transactions but I have them all seperated in my cart with the coupons that go with them so each transaction is fairly short. I’ve seen others who aren’t very organized and they randomly decide what to buy in each transaction and it takes them forever to check out even to a point where I am frustrated with them. I’ve also seen others with multiple cards checking out who spend a lot of time at the register which is even worse. Hey, I don’t mind if you have multiple cards but maybe use one card and then get in line again and use another.

    • johnstelmack

DItto what these lady’s have stated. I will step aside if there is someone else in line behind me and I have multiple transactions and there are others in line behind me with a single or a few items that obviously aren’t “couponers”.

  18. Kate G.

Can anyone tell me when is the first day I can get these deals?

    • Caryn

      Says 11/22-11/25 for these deals

  19. Amy

I’m new to couponing at Walgreens. If there is a limit of 2 on an item will both EB print in the same transaction or will I need to buy them separately?

    • Amy

      Haha whoops I meant CVS!

    • mich

They’ll both print but it’ll add together. So if you buy two, it’ll print as 2 times the ecb. Like if it’s 1 ecb and you buy two, it’ll print as 2ecb. I hope that makes sense 🙂

    • Cbeths

You can buy together. You will only get one EB with the two totalled.

    • Shopper

For example, the veggies is a limit 2, purchase 2 in the same transaction a combined $2 will print.

      Purchase 2 veggies and 1 pact, a $2 and a $1.50 with print.

Same offers combine into one EB (in 1 transaction – instead of printing $1 and $1) so it’s possible to have a large number of EB to spend later.

You can purchase 1 veggie and get $1 EB. Then use that $1 EB on the same item or anything else in store, to spend less oop, and you’ll still receive the EB – if limit hasn’t been met.

Limits are just for the EB to print, if you want more of that product you can purchase more, without the EB.

Probably more info than needed :p

  20. Linda

Advil 40 count $5 I think you can get for free . buy 1 at $5 ,use $3 coupon on Advil.com get $3 EB . Total $2 but your getting $3 back. Can you do that? My head is spinning trying to figure out how to split transaction to spend less oop.

    • Sarah

Yes it doesn’t matter what u pay out of pocket they still give u eb back!!!

      • Beth A

It matters to me! I have often been stuck with more ecbs than I can spend wisely in a given week, which is a waste. So I will plan multiple transactions to minimize my oop (which in turn minimizes the # of paper ecbs to spend in future) but still maximizes my overall savings.

    • Pam

      Linda
Where are you see the Advil offer. I went through the ad 2 times and didn’t see it. Thanks for your help

  21. Neet

Can anyone tell what the gift card deal is on page 8? It’s so blurry I can’t read it but I am anxious to know the deal! We are giving some gift cards for Christmas so I’m hoping this is a deal I can use.

  22. Sharon

Can someone tell me if nail polish would be considered a cosmetic? The Red Box machine is printing a $3 on Revlon cosmetics this week so the nail polish next week would be a MM with this coupon. $4.99-3.00 = $1.99 OOP and then get a $3.00 EB

  23. SJ

Took some time, but the least OOP scenario I have come up with is $.49 and you will have $1.98 EB left over at end if anyone would like to copy it: Please note, I used 1 each of the Centrum (limit 2) in two different transactions.
The figures out to the Right – first line is what you’ll use to pay, the second line is the EB you will get from that transaction.

I put lines between transactions but the formatting here deleted them so I put double spacing between. Hope this helps.

I see when it actually posted, it took out the double spacing and it merged the figures I had out to the right in with the line. 🙁 Hope you all can make sense of it. 🙂
