Ok, I’m pretty sure I’ve been living under a rock… Lol… I thought that Skype was a free thing?
Katie i was thinking the same thing
If you want to make phone calls or conference video you pay
If u use for calling overseas for land lines or cell phone…u need to pay. Its just like a calling card
Skype to Skype is free. But if you’re calling someone who has no skype (on their cellphone or landline), then you’d need to buy credit. I have the Unlimited World Subscription ($13.99) that allows for calls to most countries. Calls to landlines in countries like Australia and the U.K. are free but to call their cell phones, you’d need to buy extra credit. As for the Unlimited part, really it is maximum 6 hours per day.
Apps like WhatsApp and Viber also allow calls (including video), texting, etc but both parties have to have them.
Facebook messenger is free to video chat or call by phone as long as the other party has the new version of messenger and a Facebook page.
Thanks for sharing!
I use Rebtel to call for free internationally
