Just a question but how do teachers really feel about lotions, perfumes and foot creams for gifts? I’ve always been hesitant to give gifts of perfume or lotion’s because in the back of my mind I can imagine all 20 of her students giving it to her and what would a teacher do with 20 lotions or perfumes?
I teach hs and my students don’t give gifts anymore but just think, would you like to receive that many? If it is an awesome quality and not an annoying smell, then sure. but if they are cheap and and are scents that don’t smell good I wouldn’t want them.
How about just be thankful your student (or parent) was thoughtful enough to get u something. U can always exchange your fragrance at bbw or “store brand”.
Lol at all the bath and body items we receive…it adds up! We don’t need that many….but I mean to each his own. As a teacher, I don’t like to dictate what kids want to give us. I just make it a point to let them know how much I love coffee and chocolates throughout the year..hahaha.
I usually get hints from my kids about what their teachers like. My son’s teacher loves apples…and my daughter’s teacher loves her dog…so I’ll go ahead from there. No lotion for either of them.
I normally give a apple shaped post-it note dispenser (they come in green and red) with a note that says ‘An apple for the teacher’. I know it’s a bit late in the season but you can normally get these for a good price during back to school season with or without coupons and save them for the holidays. I figure this is far more useful than lotions and potions. 🙂
I work in several schools in our district and I can tell you thast at our schools the gifted lotions, soaps and hand sanitizers often end up in a staff bathroom for all staff to use or teachers use them in classroom for students to use. Food gifts often end up in staff lounge.
My subtotal says .90 with S&H at $4.99, No tax but total says $13.90. WHY?

Had this happen too…it still said -$10 so I placed the order assuming the confirmation page would show the correct total. Wrong! Emailed customer service immediately and they replied “I am sorry, but this order is getting ready to ship out. I am not able to cancel the order for you. I am sorry for the inconvenience.” After 5 minutes!!! Quite p.o.’d to be honest…no more silkies orders for me :(.

I am wearing silkies tights right now at work from a deal of yours a year or so ago with holes (dress and boots so can’t see them) and was thinking okay, really time to upgrade. Love these deals where you can get a little something for yourself for next to nothing. Fyi to blog friends – silkies tights and nylons have worn VERY well and I do machine wash gentle and sometimes by mistake dry on low or try to air dry.

Darn. No clearance lotion. Makes the deal not worth it to me. I don’t wear tights and there are only 3 colors of the footless tights for my daughter. I guess I’ll pass. Great deal for those who wear tights and or got the lotion. Enjoy!

Just got my order today. The camis are ok, a little short. And the tights are on the short side also. Can’t complain as cheap as they were, but wouldn’t pay full price.
