FYI, I did this deal when it was offered last year, and they had a minimum purchase amount of 4 haircuts ($39.96). Not a huge deal, but something to be aware of before you go to your local Great Clips because it is not mentioned on the promotion on their website.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the heads up Michele!

  2. Katie

I took my daughter to Great Clips earlier today and bought a card with just one haircut put on it.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Oh cool!

  3. Just Me

I don’t get what the deal part of this is

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The haircuts will be $9.99 with this card versus your store’s regular price which may be higher. Hop that helps!

It’s been three years that I’ve been buying a year worth of Great clips pre-paid gift cards. For $9.99 per haircut vs. paying $17 per regular adult haircut is a steal for my two sons who go there every 6-8 weeks and for me. This is bigger savings than using their occasional coupon for $3 off. With my money saved, I can pay bigger tip to hairdresser.

    • Just Me

Thanks! Kids cuts here are $8.99 and under so not a deal for me

      • Katie

Our Great Clips raised prices to $11 for kids and $14 for adult sometime since August

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Oh wow! Great savings!

    • Just Peachy

Thanks as a Great Clips hairstylist we really appreciate that as we are paid a low hourly wage.

  5. JJ

They didn’t have the cards yet at the shop I went to

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn. Hopefully they will have them soon!

  6. Laura

I bought a clippers and started to give my 2 boys haircuts. I wish I had done this years ago.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks for your feedback Laura!

  7. Patty

Save your receipts as my husband usually gets a $3.00 off deal printed out at the bottom of his. And he goes in with a $6.99 coupon which tends to pop up frequently in the local Val Pak or Money Mailer envelopes with random coupons.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sweet! Thanks for the heads up Patty!

  8. Vivian

This is a good deal, we always stock up as they never expire! Especially great for men who get cuts so frequently!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for sharing Vivian! Good to know 🙂

  9. Shirley

Just bought 10. Regular price is $14 for adult and $12 for kids. We don’t get coupons often in the mail. Maybe once every 3 months and it is only $8.99 even if we get one. The pre-paid card is definitely a savings for the whole family. Thank you Collin for posting this.

There are great haircutting tutorials on YouTube that walk you through it step by step. I started cutting my sons hair about a year ago and wish I would’ve started when he was little he is now eight

  11. Cynthia

Might be a good stocking stuffer for the husband… Thanks

Just a heads up in the Atlanta area these gift cards will be extremely limited, with a maximum of 3 haircuts per card, so if interested in purchasing do so quickly. We only had 50 for our extremely busy store.

  13. Fordgirl

Tried to buy one yesterday in the Charlotte NC area. They said each store, at least around here, only got 50 cards each. Theirs were gone in 2 days. Darn!

  14. Joe Marinaccio

Anyone know if they are doing it this year?

  15. Joe

Why does it end on Dec 12th?????? Id the year over then – makes absolutely no sense. Great Clips- get with the program – I don’t know what holiday you’re celebrating.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Sorry for any confusion Joe! This is an older deal, now expired.
