If you’re a Nutella fan, try baking some homemade banana bread this holiday season with a swirl of gooey chocolaty Nutella! This bread is simple to compile, comes out of the oven super soft and moist, and has the winning combination of bananas and chocolate!
Nutella Swirl Banana Bread
Adapted from The36thAvenue.com
4 ripe bananas, mashed
1 and 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup butter, room temperature
4 cups flour (I used whole wheat flour)
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon baking soda plus 1/2 cup warm water
1 cup Hazelnut Spread, such as Nutella – melted
Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease/flour 2 loaf pans. Cream together butter, sugar, and eggs. Mix in mashed bananas. Mix flour with salt and gradually add to wet ingredients. Dissolve baking soda in warm water and add to mixture. Melt Nutella in a microwave safe dish for about 10-15 seconds in microwave until pourable. Fill each pan with 1/4 of the batter and add 1/4 cup Nutella to both pans. Use a knife or toothpick to create swirls in batter. Repeat with the top layer of batter and Nutella. Bake at 350 for about 50-60 minutes or until middle is cooked through.
