I read the find print, and it says the 360 must power on and not have any scratches or dents, etc….so possibly not, but I would give it a try at the store just to see what they say.

Be careful! XBOX games are not backwards compatible. You can’t play all old games on the new console.
While currently that it true. They are phasing games in. The new XBOX dashboard is one of the steps in the process for the eventual conversion.

My son said either the ones at Xmas they’re selling will be and another kid said there will be an update available soon to make it that way. That doesn’t make any sense to me. I know this isn’t much help but I’m also convincing myself that there is hope out there! I bought one for my boys for Christmas and I’m praying something happens.
You can play about 107 games of old games in new console now.
I did some research because i was afriad of this too…but the new consoles allow alot of the fairly newer games to convert…like my sons fifa15 for the 360…he was able to convert to his xbox one
I wonder if the 360 console that you trade in has to be 250GB memory or higher…that’s usually how those types of deals work.

I just traded in an Xbox 360 today for this deal, it was a white Xbox system literally one of the first Xbox 360 Core models and they still excepted it. I asked what they’re going to do with them and the guy said they’re going to break them down for the metal inside. So I don’t think the memory will matter. It just needs to tie on and have the power cord and be free of dents/scratches.
Also the ad says it EXCLUDES Fallout 4.
But you can purchase any Xbox one console with the deal, so you could technically get the Xbox One with 1TB of memory that includes Fallout 4 with the system for $399 and then get a free game and $100 gift card with the trade in.
As of this past week the Xbox ones are compatible with the old 360 games. There is an update from Microsoft making them interchangeable.
Not all of them and you must use drive space for it. It’s a fair warning, as we decided to keep our 360 after researching it.
We are keeping ours as well. Less than 10% of our games that we own are backwards compatible so far. Hth
We got a deal on Targets website last week, $359/ console, $50 gift card, 1 free game, Gears of War game, $10 off a wireless controller & one more little thing. All in all we think it was a killer deal. Don’t think that Black Friday will beat it by much more.

This what i got today execpt i got a 100 gift card and 2 games if you count gears of war and nva 2k16. Paid 335, minus the game and gift card actually make it about 175…..
Oh & we are keeping our 360 for now as I haven’t $ to get another connect or a new Infinity set up right now, besides most games WILL NOT be bkwrds compatible. Based on previous experience.
I was watching for a deal like this! We just got back from Target. We traded an original Xbox for the $100 gift card. Game stop said it was wortth $10. We got the Fallout4 bundle with game plus an additional game of choice. I believe we save $220. The big thing is that I did not have to deal with Black Friday crowds and Target had everything we wanted. In the past I have waited for a deal but then could not find what we wanted or it was sold out. I was also told that 360 games will be able to be played on the new system.

The bundle comes with a digital download of “Gears of War”. My kids are too little for that game. Could I re-sell it since it’s a digital download?
I just did this Traded in an old white xbox, that would ha e the red ring of death sometimes, got my 100 gift card. Bought my new xbox one and got NBA 2k16 for free and my 5%. Basically 234 for everything.
I called to check what they needed and the guy looked it up and said even if it was damaged they would still take it he powered mine on, just quick enough to see the green light then turned it off.
I just realized with the gift card and free game i paid around 175 for it

Just traded in our 4GB xbox 360 and got the $100 GC when we purchased the Gears of War bundle for $349.99. We also got Halo 5 as our free game. I know that someone mentioned the minimum GB was possibly a problem but not for us. Most of our games are not backwards compatible either but the grandparents have a 360. Guess our current games we play will go back there or get traded in. Thanks for posting, Collin!

I just went and got this deal yesterday…fantastic!! I looked into selling my sons xbox 360 at game stop….was only offered $75. I also checked with thw employees at target they said they ha e a black friday deal but you only get a $30 gift card instead of $100…all in all i ended up gaining $80 more than i would on black friday..and got 2 free games!!!
I got a xbox 360 but still don’t understand the trade.. if I take it to them. I get the gift card and a free game if I pay the full purchase of the Xbox one.. or how much is the actual purchase after I trade it in
