XBOX One

UPDATE: Darn. It appears that you can now only grab one free game with the purchase of an XBOX ONE.

As I mentioned here, through 11/21, Target is offering up a FREE XBOX ONE Video Game when you buy any XBOX ONE Console! Well, this promo gets even sweeter as you can score another FREE game just for making an XBOX One purchase. That means you can score 2 FREE games for purchasing just one of these popular XBOX bundles below….

*Gears of War Ultimate Edition Bundle $349
*Holiday Bundle $399
*FIFA 16 Bundle  $399
*Forza 6 Bundle $399
*Madden 16 Bundle  $399
*Holiday Kinect Bundle $399

XBOXTo easily find your first qualifying game, look for the promo listed in red under the games that say “buy an Xbox One, choose this free”. For the second free game, it must be one of the following: Star Wars: Battlefront, Star Wars: Battlefront Deluxe Edition, The Crew: Wild Run, Game of Thrones Season Pass OR Deadpool.

And remember, when you trade in any XBOX 360 console AND purchase an XBOX ONE console, you’ll receive a FREE $100 Target Gift Card. For more information on the promo, check your local ad (it was on page 23 for me). Please note – not all stores take trade-ins, go here to locate a participating store near you. More details here.

Is this deal better than the one on black friday ???

    • miamonroe

This is a better deal only if the person in which your buying the system for enjoy the games being offered. If they do not like any of the games then the black friday deal is slightly better.

Can anyone tell me who is having the best deal on the XBOX One during the next couple of weeks? That is the only thing my 11 year old son wants for Christmas. I know Target will have a $299 price with a $60 GC offer but I wondered if this is in fact the BEST price out there. Any advice will be appreciated.

    • miamonroe

I think this is a better deal, especially if you have an xbox to trade in. Considering the values of each game that comes with this xbox it makes for a better deal. If your son is uninterested in either of these games being offered than the Target black friday deal is slightly better. Hope this helps a little. 🙂

Thank you! I don’t let him play the shooting games and honestly he’d rather have Madden anyways 🙂

Is this 2 game deal available in store as well or only online? I would like to do the Xbox 360 trade in, which I thought you could only do in store.

I’m also looking for the best deal on an Xbox one; either just the console or a bundle. This is the only thing my son has mentioned; upgrading from the 360. I just don’t want to spend the $350+ on a game! I’m willing to trade in, if I can find a good deal. Game Stop offers trades, but the trade value seems ridiculously low to me.

Does this even work? Having difficulties getting my second game for free from the list given.

    • Jamie

I think the offer for 2 games is dead now. Was trying all last night with a slickdeals group and now it’s not working.

    • Kim

I’ve added all the correct items and can’t get the 2nd game to work either. Darn.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Bummer. Looks like the second game is no longer free.

  6. Kate

When I talked to Target they said it was a mix up & u can’t get 2nd game free. Idk, doesn’t make sense to me

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sorry for the confusion Kate. It appears the deal for the second free game is no longer available.

When I looked online at the xbox one holiday bundle (games of war, $399) it has two different links for free games underneath it. Each with a link for details that have their own info. I took screen shots of everything and figured I’d go into the store and ask about it. Hopefully they’ll honor all of that.

    • Heather

When I looked on my phone earlier, and took screen shots, it had two links, I just looked now again and it’s only one. I really hate that.

The best deal for XBOX One is Dell Online Black friday. You get Xbox One, 2 games, and an extra controller for $299. But sale starts at I think 6 pm and quantities are limited. If you have an old xbox 360 to trade in the Target Deal is 2nd best. I traded our 360 received a $100 gift card for it, which is more than I would have gotten selling it on ebay. I purchased the system with the pre loaded Gears of War game for $349 and got the New Halo 5 game for Free. My total after saving an additional 5% with my target debit card was $354. I then went to customer service and returned everything and re purchased all of it with my $100 Gift Card. So my total ended up being $254.00. Best Price by far this season. Happy Savings!

    • Kim

Returning and buying again with the card is genius. I think I’ll do the same. I was going to GameStop for the same deal since I would save $100 at time of purchase instead of a gift card. Thanks for the tip.

I got the deal online last night the XBox One Madden bundle, added the Lego Batman 3 game and the StarWars Battlefront both games showed as FREE, processed my order got a confirmation e-mail, I was so excited!!! BUT, woke up this morning with an e-mail from Target that they canceled my order 😢 I called Target and they said it was a glitch online and I could only get one free game NOT two.

Costco has a great deal. https://www.costco.com/Xbox-One-The-LEGO%C2%AE-Movie-Videogame-Bundle.product.100232656.html You get one free game, Xbox one, and the Lego game for $350. PLUS they 90 day price match guarantee, so when it goes on sale for Black Friday ($50 off) you can call in and say it went for cheaper within the 90 days you bought it and they’ll give you a $50 credit. I didn’t believe they’d do that, but my husband’s co worker called to double check and he was told they have to price match it, it’s their policy.

So for $299 you’d get the Xbox one, lego game, and free game of choice. It expires the 11/21 though.
