I had a long chat with Target’s supervisor since @ my store they have a big sign of this ipad promotional deal & out of stock already @ 8:10am. I went to a different Target & they told me they can’t do price match since it’s a holiday. I said today is only 11/25, still bought 2 ipads left @ store & used my wish list 10% off. Went home & talked to supervisor @ Target.com. He advised me to buy them online & he’ll do pricematch. After about 40mins chat, he was able to process the pricematch & still be getting $80gc on each ipad. I will return the ipad i bought this am & pick up the ones processed online. Thank you Collin for posting this deal saving me money & time coz tomorrow i’ll be working & won’t be able to do this deal. Happy Thanksgiving to you, the staff, & to hip2save community.
Len, anyway you can help me out on how you got them to price match when you called. I ordered online, called and they said they couldn’t do it because it was a promotion. Update – they adjusted mine with no problem but they adjusted some money onto my credit card and some onto the 80 gift card? Really confused how that will work since I already got the 80 gift card through email. SOOO HAPPY regardless. thank you everyone for the info!

Oh my gosh after 4 phone calls to customer service, visiting the store by my work, I figured I would give it one more try and stopped at the target by my house. They guy at customer service couldn’t ha e been nicer and didn’t give me any problems. Price matched to Walmart for $199 still got $80 gift card and I got to use my wish list dscount and got an additional $20 discount! So $100 after gift card. Whew that was pure craziness!

I got the deal in Robinson Twp. in Pittsburgh. I just asked them in electronics and they acted like it was no problem so I bought two. $201 a piece. This was on my list for my mom and niece so I am so happy!

Did you ever hear back from your online question? They are still telling me they won’t price match unless I provide them with a case # or order # from someone else. Not right that they are doing for some and not others. I’m very disappointed.
I couldn’t get the deal I am very disappointed too. They said they shouldn’t be doing that and they must of had a good reason to why they did it. Didn’t make sense to me.

Sorry this response might be too late but for those asking for order #, that order # at the end of my transaction doesn’t show the pricematched accession. From the person i spoke over the phone, he said i’ll get a separate email about the price adjustment which he did send me a few minutes after the first email. If anyone will talk to a live person just get the case number (which they call it) about the price adjustment/price match to which i was told when i spoke to Target’s supervisor online. Hope this helps. Sorry for late response, young kids to take care after a long days work.

I haven’t received my $80 gift card yet from the Apple iPad 2. I did receive the $70 one where they price matched the Wal Mart price.
I was told when I called the other day and tried to get the price match that if someone got the price match and the $80 gift cards that the gift cards may be deactivated since they weren’t supposed to do both. I hope tea doesn’t happen to anyone but it might be worth checking🙂
