I ordered. Didn’t get my red card or $5 discount. So I cancelled my order to re-place it with my discounts…and it wouldn’t let me because it already had shown 1 in my cart (It’s only 1 per customer)! By the time I got customer service on phone & explained what happened, it sold out! 🙁 Bummer!!

Ordered this online Thursday morning. Received confirmation email. Now today I am receiving a delayed order notice-with delivery schedules 12/15-1/5! What gives, Target?! Great deal, but overselling your stock is not cool! Anyone have experience with this, and did it turn out well?
The same thing happened to me and this is my kids’ big gift! Not sure what to do! It also said I had to approve the new delivery dates and/or cancel but if they didn’t hear from me it would be canceled… When I visited the page it told me to go to to either approve or cancel I see only a button to cancel and I can’t figure out where to “approve” I don’t want to cancel it just in case- but I’m looking for an alternative with a guaranteed delivery by Christmas.
Jenny, I got the same thing. I could only find the cancel button through mobile. I had to use a desktop to find the approve button. I am so bummed about this too. This is my boys big gift and I could have chosen in store pickup or gotten it from another source but now they are sold out everywhere.
If you log in with your computer it gives you the option to accept or cancel the order.
Mine was also cancelled. I finally found one at a store pretty far from my house. But it’s $299 and the $50 e gift card can only be used online. I’m still picking it up but I’m thoroughly frustrated by Target. My holiday starts next week and this was supposed to be the big gift for my son and here I am running around like a crazy person searching for this. UGH Bad job Target!
Hi Debbie not sure if you’ll see this, but I was able to add the egiftcard to my mobile wallet. It took a few tries but I finally got it added. It must be done via mobile device and then the actual barcode appears which can be scanned in store. HTH
I got this same email, and now I got my cancellation notice today saying they tried, but they just won’t have enough stock. I’m so incredibly sad. This was the top request on my boys list and now the sales are over. $360 on Amazon, which we can’t pay right now. I’m so angry at target.
Kim, I got that same message after having to accept the new delivery date. I knew it was coming. So I decided to just buy the one with Mario Kart 8 and price match it to Toys R US for $249.99. At least they are giving a $50 gc for the inconvenience and I will use that towards one of those other games (Splatoon or Smash Bros). I believe Walmart has the Splatoon/super smash brothers for $279 in store.
Hi Kim, the same thing happened to me. It’s beyond frustrating because had they contacted us sooner I could’ve gotten it for $249.99 from Walmart on Monday. It’s available for $279.99 at Walmart and GameStop. I guess we can take some comfort in the fact that we are receiving the $50.00 egiftcard, but still very upset because I was at Target on Black Friday and could’ve gotten it then. This was the most important thing on my liltte ones list. Good luck!!!!
I ordered this deal Thanksgiving day and yesterday received the cancellation email. I looked online and everywhere is sold out. A few local targets near me said online they were in stock so I went to see. Spoke with a manager about my cancelled online order. The manager was very nice and priced matched the price I had paid online. So happy to get this, its my sons #1 Santa list item.
So so so frustrating. They didn’t even send me an email like everyone else. I just received an email saying I had an e-gift card. I spent all day trying to figure out why or who sent me a gift card. Then I checked my orders and see they cancelled this order. ARGHHHH!!! Someone’s ass better be on the line over in Purchasing or Marketing at Target for this major faux pas. I’m heading over to my local Target in the morning — states they have limited stock — hoping they will price match. In the meantime I ordered the Wii U with Mario Kart 8 from Best Buy tonight just in case. My son really wanted both Splatoon and Smash Bros. though, so this is really disappointing.
