    Why do they stop it at 12th grade? College profs need top save money too! :}

    • Heather

      Preach it!
      🙂

    • Cara

I teach preschool. I would trade salaries with you in a heartbeat.

      • SLS

I doubt that is true. I think you’re assuming a bit much here. My sister in law teaches first grade and I know she makes at least double what I make, if not more.

        • Cara

I make less than $30,000 a year and I do not get benefits.

          • Kristie

My kid had a wonderful teacher last year named Cara 😂 Parker still misses her…

        • Erin

Yeah no kidding, my dad has been teaching college and has served as the chairman for almost forty years, no extra money for that work and makes diddly-squat compared to other professions. Teaching has to be a vocation that is rewarding in itself it seems.

Is it for school items only or personal items as well?

    • Kim

I believe it is usually only for books. However, they have special events throughout the year (like tomorrow) where it is for more items.

  3. Heather

Do they need some sort of proof? I’m am a homeschooler. Thx

    • Kim

They do. Some people are more picky than others. The first time they just asked which curriculum I used for which subjects. The second time they asked me to bring in some proof of curriculum. I brought in my son’s partially used math workbook and that worked fine.

    • Blessesd

I had to show my county letter indicating I had permission to homeschool

      • Kim

Wow, I guess we are blesses. In Michigan, we don’t have to get permission. Anyone can home school and there is no record keeping involved.

Post says online too, or is that only for the nooks? Is there a code for online?

I’m curious what proof they want. I’m a PreK assistant at a small preschool, so we don’t have any ID (there are only 13 of us on staff). And it says for books, toys, game and more. And is this on top of your B&N member discount? Might have to take a family trip there today!
