I’ve heard these don’t take the same k cups as the previous keurig. Is that true? I don’t want to start over in my coffee collection.

    • Stephanie

That is correct. This needs the 2.0 k cups. I just bought a mini which uses the original K cups for this reason.

    • merky117

It might not take all cups but I use this one in my office and it will take regular kcups. I even use the Mcdonalds kcups. But it won’t take some like the Trader Joe ones that don’t have the same shape. HTH

I’m heading to Target now. Do you know if the $25 GC is being offered in store or if it can be price matched from Target.com? I wanted to purchase one for my husband’s birthday this weekend? Thanks!!!

  3. Aleshia

its saying delivery of late January :*(

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Bummer 🙁

  4. kristen

Does anyone know the best price for the mini?

    • Tsquared

I bought the mini a month ago and at that time Bed Bath and Beyond had the best price. I used their 20% off coupon and their free shipping.

Most actual Kcups will work. They have to have the Kuerig symbol on the top of the cup as the Kuerig machine reads the symbol. I’ve only ran into one brand name that this was a problem with and I believe it was an older (not outdated) variety. I tried it again a few months later and the issue had been fixed. The generic and store brand cups won’t work.

    • K

There are easy ways around that problem, so you can use any brand of kcup. Just google it or look on YouTube.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks so much for your feedback!

  6. Sandra

I use any keurig kcups with my 2.0 and haven’t had a problem except with the kcup pod you fill yourself. We had to buy one that said “for 2.0”.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for sharing Sandra! Good to know!

  7. Ellie

shipping estimated for both, not available in store, Staples say delivery for both, while free, is middle to end of January. No thanks.

  8. Melanie

So does this have the option for single cup which you would use the Reg k cups and the carafe which you need to by the carafe k cup?

I bought this model at target a couple of months ago and returned it after a few days because my coffee had a plastic taste, i ran it many times, washed the parts, even ran a little vinegar and water with no luck. I read the reviews and it seems a lot of people have this issue with the newer ones but not the old ones so i got a k40 instead and i have never gotten that plastic taste

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sorry to hear that Mary. Thanks so much for your feedback.

I had store pickup option or shipping to home by 12/13.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Great!

We just bought one and using it now and have not had any issues with it so far. We buy Costco Kirkland brand coffee and it works fine since it does have the seal around it.

    • Jan

I forgot to mention that ours is the K450 so may not apply to this one. Just saw the model after I posted.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        Thanks for sharing Jan!

I know this is a random place to be posting this, but does anyone have a suggestion for a sit-me-up floor seat type of thing? It would need to be less than $35 (combine with deals to get?). I saw a cheaper version but it didn’t have the best of reviews. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! 🙂

  13. kristie

About the staples kcups, the posting says the 20 count AND the 15 count for $6.99, is that supposed to be OR? When I click the link only one or the other is coming up, not a package deal.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

They are $6.99 each. Hope that helps!

Hi u just bought one of these and did some research regarding what k cups it will take and this is what i found. You can use any k cup with a white ring around the edge. Also if you want to use ANY k cup google “freedom clip” and if you order a 3 sample pack from rogers coffee company they will send you a freedom clip for free, which slides over the eye inside keurig making it accept any cup. This can be removed and doesnt void warranty either. There are also lots of hacks you can do for free but in my opinion they are a pain!!just you tube it. Hope that helps ,we love our new machine.

Thanks, bought 2 of the Donut House. Both my kids use k-cups and I help supply them, so the mid-Jan date is OK with me. Good price1

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome! Glad you could grab them!
