Vet Tip from reader Deanna “Just wanted to share my vet experience: My husband came home with $400 worth of flea/tick and heartworm medication for our 2 dogs. I know from experience that the drug companies usually offer rebates etc. I looked up both of them online and was able to go back to the vet and received $68 back as well as 2 more doses than we had paid for and also 2 rebate cards to submit for another $10 back. Factoring in the extra doses, it saved me about $110. So…always check the drug company websites!”

(Thanks, Wendy, Aubree, Marcus, Catherine, Sue, Michelle, Jessica, Leia, Liz, Dana, Angie, Freebies for a Cause, Suzy Saver WNY, Brandy, Deanna, Tracee, & Marisa!)

I’ll add my own “Store Deal:” Today I got a beautiful 6.5 foot Douglas Fir Christmas tree from Lowe’s for $15. All trees were $15, any size or type. I know it’s very close to Christmas and most people have trees already. But I was happy to find such a fresh, beautiful tree for such a great price!

    • Judy

wow – great deal for a douglas fir!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Great score Denise!

  2. Amy

Thanks for the finishline tip, i also had $20 on my account!

    • Carlota

I went to my finish line account but did not know where to look, any ideas?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Sweet! You’re welcome Amy!

  3. Rachel

Is the Meijer Lego dimensions deal still good or was this last weeks sale?

  4. Ashley

I’m confused about the pinterest deal. What do they sell?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

There are now buyable pins on Pinterest. The are offering $20 back on any order when you pay with a Mastercard. Hope that helps!

  5. mckeeversmom

I’m also confused…how do I find the Nike deal? When I go to My Coke Rewards, there are two cards that come up a $25. for 1750 points and a $35. for 2425 points. Where are the $10. cards? Thank you for the help.

    • Crystal

The $10 Nike gift cards for 225 points on My Coke Rewards have been sold out for several days. That’s why you can’t find it in the rewards.

  6. Sherry M

I’m also curious about ordering from Pinterest.

    • Ashley

I just noticed they have a shop category with ‘buyable pins’.

Another good tip for pet meds.. check your local pharmacy! I run an independent, and we have about 25 pets we fill meds for every month, and we are a LOT cheaper than getting the meds directly from the vet’s office. We even have 3 local vets now that call us to price check things and send the patients our way because it saves them so much money. (Independent pharmacies are USUALLY cheaper than chains, if you aren’t using insurance to pay for the meds. (In that case it will be the same anywhere, 95% of the time)).

Thanks for Finish Line tip πŸ™‚ I got my son two hoodies with his college logo for $15 shipped home.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Great deal! YW!

  9. Linda

I never knew about rebates for pet meds. Awesome! We have 2 dogs and 5 cats so every bit helps. I would also recommend getting pet insurance. Our dog eats everything in sight so we need insurance on him and it pays off. They covered a $3,000 surgery bill and a $5,000 surgery on one of my cats who broke his leg. They also covered surgery and cremation on one of my cats who didn’t make it through surgery. I would say every pet owner should get it.

    • Penuchka

Exactly! same thing with us, lots of animals, and i never knew you could save on flea and heart worm prevention. Thank you!

  10. Yuki

I couldn’t get the Maybelline coupon printed correctly. The print out was a whole letter-size paper, with the enlarged products’ picture and discription, but no barcode.
I tried other coupons with no problem. I also tried with different browsers and different computers.
    Anyone has the same problem?

    Thanks.

I’m hoping someone can help me get more info on the Star Wars Chewbacca Crossbow that is shown in the picture. Is that at Sam’s Club? My son saw that at Disney and I did not purchase it for him thinking I could find it later as a Christmas present. No luck at all but this is what he saw at the park! Can you get a guest pass at Sam’s like BJs offers?

    • Sam

Yes but they charge a 10% fee. You can read more at their site https://help.samsclub.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/279/~/one-day-pass

To shop Sam’s Club without being assessed a10% service fee over and above Sam’s Club listed prices on all merchandise, you must be a Sam’s Club Member. (Not applicable in California, South Carolina, or Elmsford, NY)

      2. The One-Day Pass or online Invitation to Shop does not eliminate the 10% service fee.

  12. Saving family

Kohla is offering extra 5$ yes to you reward if you buy some thing online and pick up on store 😜
