I have a pair from this website that I have been wearing for over 2 months and I love them

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So glad to hear that! Thanks for your feedback!

  2. Flore

If you need to get reflective coating, use code FREEAR to get it for free. Keep in mind that you can only use one code.

    • Lacey

THANK YOU! The code worked on both pairs I ordered, but could not be combined with the 10% off code. 😀

Highly recommend this company, a few times a year they have a buy 2 get 1 sale which is when I stock up, even without the sale their glasses are still a great deal.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Sweet! Thanks for sharing!

  4. Crystal

I love my prescription glasses from them!! My parents told me about them!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Cool!

My hubby and I both have glasses from this site that we’ve had for several years! They are great! We both wear contacts but use these for backups. Highly recommend. 👍🏼

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for such a great review Steph! Awesome to hear how nice they are!

  6. Barbara

This company is great. I have three pairs from them and love them.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Wonderful!

  7. Kari Haefner

We got a back up pair for our 4 year old son from here and he wears these more than his original ones!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Wow! Good to know Kari! Thanks for sharing!

They had an amazing black Friday deal. B2g2. I’ll very looking out for that this year again too! We have 6 pairs between my BF and I and we love them. Couple months in and they’re still great. Also they are very light which I love. I picked up my old ones And my new ones in each hand and the difference was crazy. I am thinking of picking up a pair of white and black ones from the other deal too!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Sweet!

My son needs an extra pair of glasses but we already went through insurance for his yearly pair. Is it still cheap to get them without using insurance?

    • Kate

That price is without insurance. Just make sure you pick the $6.95 frames

      • Kari

We had to do the same thing Katie. We got him a second pair through Zenni for $48 total (including shipping). Because of his prescription, it cost us a little bit more. We are extremely happy with the quality!

    • saverjes

If you call the office where you got the prescription they can tell you what it is. Or write one out. You pay just the $6.95 through this site unless you get extras

My pair from here is good. If you get sunglasses, they are just ok. I wish they were darker to keep more sun out. Still worth it for an inexpensive pair

    • K

Did you get the gray 80%? Usually that’s pretty dark with most companies.

Love the recommendations….can anyone explain how it works. Do they contact my eye doctor, or do I just choose the prescription I say I want (+1.00 for example) do they contact the doctor at all? Do I have to put in my insurance info even if I don’t want to go through insurance? …. you know, all those details… What if they don’t fit, like, they’re too wide or too narrow around my ears/head? I cannot wear contacts and I would LOVE to have more glasses to match my mood/outfit just so that I personally feel better about wearing glasses and it would be fun for me.

    • Des

You input the prescription, they don’t talk to your dr at all. No insurance needed, Zenni doesn’t go through insurance so the prices you see are the prices you will pay. And I believe you can return the glasses if they don’t work for you but the return policy should be on the site.

  12. Mum

Just ordered from there last week, I was really impressed with how fast my order came and how nice the glasses were for the price! You will need your rx to order but this site did not charge extra for my husbands lenses like some of the others that have been posted

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Good to know!

  13. Des

I love Zenni! My backup glasses and prescription sunglasses are from them, both were the $6.95 frames. I get compliments on them all the time and they don’t look cheaply made.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

That’s great! So happy to hear that Des!

About glasses, you just need to put your prescription so no your eye doctors info nor insurance info required. However this site makes you check the prescription is within 2 years or valid, at the last step…

When you pick the frame, you have to measure the current frame or the one you are comfortable. Then pick the one that is same size or similar. Still there is the risk the frame does not fit. The last one I got from coastal.com has very curved temples that gave me headaches even width was right to my face… So I straightened them.

I am new to this site and ordered the backup today. Total is less than $16. $6.95 frame with reflective coating, clip on sunglasses and shipping… Hope it is good enough.

I am hoping there will be some type of glasses deal a month from now. FX

My daughter (7) is 20/40 in one eye and her appt. isn’t until Feb 2nd so I will not know what her prescription will be until then

For those who have experience ordering glasses online: I called my eye doctor to get my Pupil Distance, as it wasn’t included on my prescription card. They said “It is 60 1/2,” but ZenniOptical only has whole numbers. In a case like this, should I round up to 61, or down to 60? Anyone else have this issue?

  17. HBee

Love Zenni! You do need to go the eye dr. and get RX, make sure they measure your PD (pupillary distance), then get online to fill in the numbers given; pretty straight forward. We have ordered at least a dozen prs from this company, and it has been a blessing with children who like to break theirs! We do not go through our insurance, because the pricing is reasonable, but I would think if you wanted to order the product, get a receipt and submit to your insurance, you can see if you get any money back.
