      Awesome – thanks for reading!

I use one in my daughter’s closer to house some of her stuffed animals. She has a ton and this gets some of them off the bed but still accessible enough for her to play with.

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

Great idea- thanks for sharing Patty!

    • kim

  9. Dealzgurl

    Great suggestion!

  10. Brandy

How deep are those? Will they fit longer games like mouse trap?

  11. Erin

Do the games ever fall out? I have some and use for other items and things always slide out. I’d hate for game pieces to fall all over.

    • Tammy

Erin, I agree with you. I’ve used these in the past for games when my children were younger and this can and does happen. I always put games pieces in ziploc or plastic snack\sandwich bags no matter where I store them. Always trying to prevent a disaster. As some have mentioned, I think these work better with the square shaped games and not the bigger rectangular ones.

  12. Lolie

    I love this idea!

I am loving all of these organizing tips! I got inspired by the earlier post on the KonMari method and de-cluttered my closet and most of my dresser! My daughter came home from school (she’s 11) and saw me doing this and immediately started organizing her dresser as she saw me doing mine!! I didn’t even have to tell her to do it! Wow!! A little bit at a time really makes a difference! But, I thought I’d begin with my area before tackling anything else. Thanks Collin, Lina, and all the readers for your tips!

  14. Emily

I tried this organizer with my son’s games and the weight of the games caused the organizer to too and the games to fall out. No matter how I stacked them it didn’t work.

    • Elaine

Maybe the velcro isn’t the best option for heavier games. They have other options with hooks so that may be sturdier. Just a thought.

  15. Abby

I use it for my shoes.! I do not like them on the floor, I have carpet on my closet, that way is not smelly in there😉

  16. kim

I actually have done this before. This would be good for the smaller games but word of caution: don’t use this to store the longer games like Monopoly. For me this caused it to tip forward too often spilling the games all over the closet floor!

  17. Liz Ob

The cloth ones work better than the slippery ones. I only ever get cloth otherwise everything slips out.

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

      Oh great tip – thanks

  18. jane

Great idea and it looks nice too!

  19. Ashley

I was just getting ready to get rid of one of these. Not anymore…thanks for the tip!

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

      Sure Ashley! Thanks for reading.

  20. k. moore

    Great idea!

  21. Teri

I was just trying to find a spot for games and puzzles!! I am so getting one of these. I use the shoe holder in my pantry door. It works great for hding small things like kid snacks, package gravy, etc.
    Thanks!!

  22. Cheryl

Great idea! I currently have all of the games at the bottom of a closet and every time the kids take it out it gets disorganized which drives me crazy. I can’t wait to try it. Thanks so much!

  23. Terry

I use a small one of these, about 6″ wide, 12″ deep, 10 pockets, in our coat closet for gloves, hats, neck warmers, etc. I use one of the bottom pockets for umbrellas. I love it!

  24. Danielle

I use this product in my pantry closet when cereal goes on sale for 1.00 with coupon. I stock up and buy about 20
boxes of different cereals and stack the boxes in the sleeves. I can get about 5 boxes a shelf. They stay snug in
    there and don’t fall out.

  25. Martha Music Gal

We have one of these in our hall closet to organize towels, wash cloths etc. They are so helpful to organize many things! And much cheaper than buying and installing shelves.

  26. Mel R.

This worked in my son’s closet for a while, until the bottoms started to buckle over time from the weight of the games. DH added thin pieces of plywood to fit inside each shelf to help keep it stabilized.

    • Lina D

      Smart idea on the plywood!

  27. Kristy

I love this but have a small home and need that closet room for our clothes. Do you have any other helpful tips on organizing games/toys? Right now I have them on a shelf and it just looks so disorganized 🙁

  28. Stephanie McLean

If you have long games, like monopoly, you can cut out the back of the organizer so that you can push the game through and balance it. You shouldn’t have to worry about fraying as it won’t be used a lot.

    • Lina D

That’s a great suggestion – thanks for sharing
