Can someone explain to me the EA access? My kids got an xbox 1 for Christmas and not sure what the difference between that and Xbox live gold.
EA Access is a program only for Xbox One (a PC version is on the way) that gives you a few things: 1. Early access to select EA games that are being released. 2. With a valid subscription, you can download and play select EA games from the ‘vault’ that’s in the app that you will download on the Xbox one. There, a list of games will be present and you can download them, and play, free of charge for as long as your subscription is valid. 3. 10% off EA games and content from the Xbox online store. Also, a few extra things: https://www.ea.com/eaaccess/
If you have a Xbox live gold membership, you can access a free trial of ea access from now until January 24th. Also, if you have a subscription for EA Access, you will NOT need a Xbox live gold membership in order to access the game. However, you will not be able to use any online multiplayer options without a gold membership, just FYI. I have it and love it. $30 a year for unlimited use of 10+ titles with more being added every year? Sounds great to me! Do be advised that games that are in the ‘vault’ that you can play are older titles. New releases won’t be in there for roughly a year.
