Does anyone how much the Kids free time unlimited is after the 1 year?
If you’re a prime member it’s $2.99 a month for one child or $6.99 a month for multiple children. It’s more expensive if you don’t have prime.
I really wish they had a deal on the 16gb kindles! We tried the 8gb for our kids and it was such a pain. An adult using it for reading and light use it would be fine, but kids trying to use freetime, 8gb is just a hassle. If they download too much the wifi shuts off and they can’t use wifi again until they delete some apps, and you don’t know how many they have to delete so you just have to keep trying. The kindle itself already uses a lot of those 8 gigs, so there’s not much to work with. They can’t download very much :\
You can purchase a memory card to get more storage out of it without having to delete apps and whatnot!

The ones we bought for Christmas 2015 have a sd slot. My older one doesn’t.

Anyone have a recommendation when chosing between the Fire Kids Edition & Kindle for Kids Bundle? Our girls had a Nabi, rarely used it, it just quit working… Looking for a replacement.
I just bought this the other day and still trying to get used to it. It’s tough comparing it to my iPad mini. Hoping I will like it better the more I use it. Not so pleased right now but think it’s because it’s an android and I’m not used to it.
I have both and user friendliness/screen quality wise, apple wins. BUT I feel safer using my Kindle because it is not slippery. I am always scared of dropping my ipad. Kindle, I don’t even use a case. I use Kindle for vacations, work commute and apple stays home.
