Question about the Audible versions of these books. I see them frequently posted here as an add-on for free or very cheap. I haven’t forayed into the Audible.com world yet. I’m assuming I need an account, but are they all monthly accounts or can you have an account and have the books that you’ve bought and can listen through that at any time? I see that when I look at the audible webpage that I can “cancel anytime and your books are yours to keep even if you cancel.” Does that mean I can still listen without having a monthly subscription? Can someone please give me a simple explanation?! I don’t listen to audiobooks often enough to want to pay $15/month to pick ONE book a month. Thanks for any clarification 🙂
You don’t have to pay for the account, I would recommend taking advantage of the free trial though. Super easy to cancel if you do. If you have a local library most have overdrive which has tons of old and new releases for FREE 21 day checkout (waiting list though on new items usually just like in person). I agree $15 fr an audio book sounds insane but all the ones I want are upwards of $45-60 originally. Makes sense they are usually around 20-30 hours long and it saves me 2-5days of reading myself. But just pointing out in the grand scheme of things $15 if you use it wisely can be a great deal! 😊
Thank you so much for explaining to me! That makes sense and I might be giving it a try soon!
You do need a free audible account, but do not need a paid subscription to purchase books. Once you purchase the audio book it is yours to keep and listen to through your audible account. Hope that’s helpful!
Thanks for the reply and explanation, I appreciate it!!
