   What’s the best instrument for coloring? Crayons are too thick and some colored pencils are too light.

  Prismacolor pencils have bold colors and staedtler triplus fine liner markers give a nice bold color without bleeding through. Both are expensive so wait until you have a 40 or 50 percent off coupon at Michael’s.

  Sheri, do you know of a good sharpener for the Prismacolor pencils? I received some as a gift, but in need of a sharpener. Regular pencil sharpeners don’t seem to work with them. TIA

  I don’t use anything special with mine. You could try the metal Staedtler if you are having trouble with plastic ones.
