Just bought one of these water bottles last week without the discount but they are great!

I am glad you said that because they have mixed reviews. I am getting 2 for my girls. Hope they are good.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh cool! Happy to hear how nice they are! Thanks for your feedback!

I personally do not like these water bottles as cute as they are. Mold grows under a tiny grey circle flap in the cap. When I removed the flap to clean it I was unable to put the grey thing back in. Now it leaks everywhere. It’s $7 to replace the cap on camlebaks website.

I got mold in mind too in the cap. I couldn’t get the plastic piece out and was afraid if I did I wouldn’t be able to get it back in so I was thinking of ordering a new lid. I guess it’s cheaper to just replace the whole lid instead of buy a new one (I have the larger version). Other than that issue, we love thee water bottles!!!!!

These completely come apart, you pull the mouth piece out, and pull the straw off. We LOVE these and use them daily, I wash them in the dishwasher and have finally had to replace the mouth piece, which you can buy in packs with the straws from target. We have about 6 of these and just ordered 2 more!

        • Kristen

Yes, but there is another valve that isn’t very noticeable.Take a close look and see what you find. I was totally grossed out. Lol

oh man, talk about curiosity killing the cat …. I took mine apart to see if there was mold (there wasn’t) and it took 45 minutes and 8 youtube videos to get it back together …. sigh ….. lesson learned

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Bummer 🙁 Thanks for your honest review Kristen!

    • kate

They have a lifetime guarantee, so you might check into getting it replaced.

      • Kristen

Thanks for letting me know! I just submitted a claim.

      • Lisa

The lifetime warranty is very limited. Basically, if they feel it is damaged from normal use it is considered worn out and and not replaceable. I checked into it because I have 6 and while I do love them, I have found they all leak over time. I still use them but have to be careful that they don’t get tipped over, my kids can’t be trusted with them and we can’t use them for backpacking.

  3. Natalie

My kids have used these before and we really liked them! I never had a problem with mold. I got 2, we needed new water bottles. Thanks!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sweet! Glad to hear it Natalie! You’re welcome!

  4. Lexi

We have these and really like them. Haven’t had any issues with mold

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome! Thanks for sharing your experience Lexi!

  5. Teresa

We’ve had three of the water bottles for a year and no issue w mold or leaking. I remove the straw and lid when I clean it and use a straw brush to clean inside. Kids usually just drink water.

  6. mel

my kids love these cups and no mold issues! just ordered 2 more and they going in the kids easter baskets! great score at that price! thanks!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Great idea Mel! You’re welcome!

  7. Lori

Camelbak has a great warranty. We have water bottles that have been leaking because of me cleaning the little grey flap, and not getting it back in. I have put in warranty requests and they send a replacement within a week! Keeps me wanting to buy their products! 😉 The water bottles were over 6 years old!

    • Lisa

This is interesting to read. I didn’t have a good of a costumer service experience when mine leaked. After reading your comment I may have to try again.

Awesome I got a goal zero rechargeable battery with lights set. Actually 2, one for us and one for nephew.

  9. Felicia

My 2 littles 7 & 9 year old girls have gone thru 2 of these cups a piece. I didn’t have the mold issue, but they leaked all over the place. I bought the replacement pack of mouthpieces and straws and it didn’t really help. They were super cute, but I really needed them to not leak when placed in the water bottle sleeve of the backpack
