Really fun activity for kids. Today my children made a butterfly house.

We to had a blast is a good time for mommy and me time and he was so independent he loved making the butterfly house and gets so excited on the first Saturdays of the month it makes him feel confident that he could actually do this without help and follow directions

Do the kids have to be there at 9am or anytime between 9-12?

    • Kim

Anytime between 9-12. Make sure you pre-register or they may not have enough kits for you. It usually takes 30-45 minutes for my two small kids to build and paint theirs.

I think it’s any time between 9 and 12. Our project definitely did not take 3 hrs today, maybe 30-45 min. People were coming and going. This was our first time and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. There was no guidance, but each kit had easy to follow instructions and the kids each received a pin for their aprons for completion. I can’t believe they do this for free! We had a blast. Wear old clothes though. My kiddos got paint on them despite the aprons lol

we definitely routinely take advantage of these. always pre-register, though. We generally like the Lowe’s workshops more with our aged kids, but both are great!! We usually save the painting for home, though

Haha I always go to these FOR the painting lol! Sometimes the HD people offer kits to go if there isn’t enough space since for some reason they do it in a small room at our Home Depot though others I’ve been to have it in an open area. I always do the project there since the painting part is the only part ds looks forward to.

We went to our first build event today for the butterfly house. Very cool. Free popcorn, cupcakes, balloons and face painting too. My boys loved it.
