Have this and it works great. I don’t put the plastic cover over it though. Grew lots of veggies last year and have flowers in there for this summer. I have yet to need to water it this year, the rain has kept the reservoir full. Last year had to fill it about once a week if it was hot with no rain.

      Thanks for the review, Whitney!

So can I put this in on the balcony?

      • Whitney

I have mine on my deck.

    • Vanessa

Did you grow cucumbers? I’m wanting something for cucumbers and tomatoes

      • Amer0317

I would think you would need to attach some type of trellis if you wanted to do cucumbers.

      • kcmiami88

You could build your own trellis and grow them upward same as with any small container garden

      • Whitney

I had both cucumbers and tomatoes. I did add a trellis for both to grow up. Was getting 5-10 veggies per week.

I use a similar system (Earthbox) and do not use a trellis for my cucumbers…they simply just crawl along the ground and grow perfectly fine 🙂

  5. Nancy

How long are they on sale ?

  6. Miriam

This looks so promising.. I’m hoping to start a little garden on my deck this year.. Besides tomatoes, what would you recommend growing on a deck? TIA 🙂

    • Melmandy

You could try peppers. I grow pepper, tomatoes, and herbs on my deck area

    • Jen

Any variety of peppers, bush beans, herbs, etc! The skies the limit🍅

  7. Wanda

Got 2 in southeastern NC! Thanks so much!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Glad you could snag them! YW!

For some reason it keeps trying to charge me for shipping. Anyone know why? I added a multitool to my cart, but that’s not the problem. Even if I just have three planters in my cart it’s still $15 for shipping.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! I am finding that now as well. It appears the details of Free Shipping are that orders ship Free on MOST orders of $45 or more. Bummer!

  9. Lora

I’m also having the same issue with it wanting to change shipping. Closest store is 80 miles away. Any ideas?

I have one of these. I love it so much! Everything I’ve tried to grow does so well in it. It hardly takes up any space on my small patio.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sweet! Thanks for the feedback Amanda! Good to know!

  12. Tracy

Thanks so much for the feedback. Glad it is working so well for people.
