Interesting. The ClickTight ones jumped $30 in price.

      Thanks for catching! Just updated!

  2. Lynsi

    I noticed that too. It’s now 264.

I think the prices listed here are wrong. The Marathon Clicktight is normally $264 on Amazon, not $234. With the $30 off coupon, it would be $234. I think they took $30 off twice by mistake. The only reason I know is because I’ve been stalking Amazon prices for weeks because I’m interested in this car seat. I’ve never seen a $234 price for the Clicktight.

Thanks for sharing Austin! Just updated!

The Britax B-Safe 35 is also 30 off on Target.com. And if you have the Red card it’s additional 5% discount.

Sweet! Thanks for the heads up!

I just ordered the britax pioneer for grandpas car.. I have had the graco nautilous 65lx for 2 wks and the straps get easily twisted… So happy with amazons return policy because I was able to return the graco and order the britax for the same price I paid for the graco and it has a 5lb higher weight limit.. Great deal! I highly recommend ordering car seats from Amazon due to their generous return policy.

I saw at Walmart the other day Cosco has come put with a really nice new car seat that goes 5 to maybe 50 lbs and says it fits 3 across in a car and is only $45. Cosco also makes a nice new one with cup holder that is taller to harness longer and goes from 20 lbs to 80lbs and is only $60! The covers are machine washable, they are light weight and easy to use and have latch. Why anyone would blow $200+ on some car seat that’s crazy heavy is beyond me! All car seats are just as safe as any other since they all have to pass the exact same safety standards. A heavier seat makes more force to catapult forward if not installed properly or if buckles fail. Craziness to me.

Yes the cosco scenera next is a great low cost carseat and lasts a long time rear facing and then is outgrown and you need to buy a forward facing harness. And correct all carseats pass the same tests. What makes some carseats $200 is the bells and whistles. They are normally alot easier to install and use. And have more comfort padding. There is nothing wrong with the lower cost carseats.
Also yes they can be heavier but there is no reason to believe that seat belts will fail due to the seats weight. Seat belts are designed and tested to hold in 200+ lbs of grown men.
As for that $60 cosco booster seat, I highly recommend skipping it. The harness height will not get kids to a safe booster age and the seatbelt fit with the booster mode is not safe. Spend $20 more and get the evenflo maestro. 🙂

Also another reason for more expensive seats is they usually have heigher weight and height limits. So some kids are heigher percentiles and need heigher limits on their seats or they need to be harnessed longer due to immaturity or they are not neurotypical.

We just bought the convertible car seat in the “Twilight” color and I was able to get the $30 off. THANK YOU, we needed this and this is the best price we’ve seen. Even my husband is smiling 😉

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So happy you could score a great deal! YW!

Thanks! I’m amazed at how people complain about car seats. I’ll pay whatever the price to keep my boys safe. I read somewhere that people hesitate to spend $200 on a car seat but don’t on a smart phone. That stuck with me, I’d ditch my phone for my kids any day (and so all know I’m using one going on 5 years). Love my Britax!

I agree! I have had a few different brand seats since we have family out of state where we have seperate seats to keep there, and none of them compare to my britax! Feels sooo much safer, sits higher so its easier for my child to see out of the window, the strap clip stays in place whereas the other brands ones move around some, its reinforced with steel bars, and sooo much more comfortable and padded compared to most cheap brands. It also has sides to it whereas the cheaper brands dont, so when you kid falls asleep they have somewhere to lean their head. Not to mention 2 years later and my seat still looks brand new! You really get what you pay for with car seats and my britax was the beat investment ever!

      • vmm

none compare? you should try a recaro convertible or combination seat! so much nicer than a britax even;)

    Two questions:

    1. Do you know how long this code should work?
    2. Do you know if it can be combined with the 15% completion discount that you can receive with your baby registry? (you can only redeem the completion discount once so I’m trying to decide if I should go for it before my baby shower!)

    Thanks so much!

    • Dee

I too hadn’t used my baby registry completion discount. I ordered the marathon convertible car seat using the 15% off discount (-39.60) and called customer service to apply the 30britax (-30) promo code and they did. Brought my total down to $194.40!

      • Kara Burton

        Great thank you so much!

I just bought one of these car seats on Amazon a week ago. Does anyone know if they would be able to credit my account for this, and if so, how to do it?
