Thank you Collin! Has anyone visited the one in MA? Is this the same lodge they try to make you visit at Six Flags? Any feedback is highly appreciated, thank you advance! 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome!

    • Kate L

The one in mass is located in Fitchburg. It’s a few hits from six flags.

        • Rebe

Thank you for your reply Kate. When people visit SF they are a couple of boots and they try to make you sign to visit a lodge that is NOT close to Six Flags, like a time share kind of deal. They are pushy, thats why I am asking. Have you visited the one in Fitchburg, is it worth it?

          • Candace

My son (7) has visited there several times (spoiled), although I have never been there and he LOVES IT. My mom says it’s good, but it’s nothing like the other ones because it used to be a Coco Keyes and they basically redid it a bit and slapped on the name. People out here seem to love it since they’ve never been to the other locations.

It’s far from Six Flags, about 90 minutes. Take Rt 2 E (from Fitchburg) to 495 S to The Mass Pike West and you’re there in 90 minutes.

The one in Fitchburg is great! I went with my family twice to celebrate my daughter’s birthday for two years. The people there are very friendly and helpful. I went in November both times and it wasn’t too crowded in the waterparks. They have activities for the kids like story time, meet the characters, face painting, animal balloons and making bracelets for free. They have other activities that you can pay to enjoy like manicures for the kids, rope climbing adventures, arcade, and some kind of wizard adventures. They also have DD in the lodge. We try to go every year since my kids love it.

It doesn’t include the new one in CA. Bummer. 🙁

oh of course, i recently posted i was looking for a corporate code or any discount code because i was planning a stay there in MASS and couldnt find one. i just got home yesterday from there. while my daughter and her friends had a blast it was very expensive in my opinion. i ended up paying close to 300$ for one night with 4 water passes, and on top of that there are many other charges for addition activities, my suggestion is if you go to the arcade you should do the 50$ option. seems like alot but believe me it goes fast as each game is at least 1-2$. they have mining which is 10$ each , and climbing opstical that is 6$ per person. ice cream sundays 7$ and much much more. ( the customer service was wonderful)

Thank you for your feedback Niki

This is the first year that my family is going to try a big beach vacation … But on a very limited budget of $1000. Where are the hidden gems or awesome deal sites that I just haven’t seemed to find yet?? What are your best kept budget vacation secrets, Hipsters?? Thanks!!!

    • Just Me

Maybe Airbnb or whole house rental instead of hotel

    • Stacie

Have you looked on VRBO.com? We found a vacation rental right on the beach 2 summers in the Florida panhandle – very affordable for our family that included 14 people of all ages. You can search by location/price/rooms per house, etc plus most rentals have reviews so you make sure you’re not ending up with something sketchy. I’ve also heard good things recently about AirBnb but I haven’t personally tried it. Happy searching!!

    • Laura

Amy, I am looking for the same beach vacation for the same budget. Have you found any good info? I am looking to go to the Outerbanks in NC.

      • Stephanie

I just got back from the outerbanks last week……stayed at colonial inn (60 a night for ocean front)….used expedia app and got another $25 off……friendly staff..super cheap! Also they give you tons of coupons books and discounts when you arrive.

        • Tiffani

          Thanks!☺

      • Amy

I haven’t been able to find what i am looking for yet. Was looking at Virginia Beach, and would love to have a home right on the beach. I just don’t think our budget is going to allow this …. Time to think outside the box …

    • Heather

Amy…navarre beach. Florida’s best kept secret. Perfect for families. Not crowded. White sand. Blue/green water. We went for the 1st time this year and it was amazing. We used VBRO and found a 3 bedroom condo with a kitchen. Made our meals so we didn’t go out and split the cost with another family. We already booked for next year. We saw dolphins every day from out balcony. The pier os awesome to fish or watch locals fish. I can’t say enough about this place.

  5. Danae

Traverse City is not working! 😰

  6. Heather

You can also get a discount if you have country companies insurance that makes this chain responsible in price. 😉

  7. Barbie

Great Wolf offers military discount too.

  8. Cheyenne

Why are theu charging so much for taxes!! We decided not to buy because of that.

    • carrie

I know! $60 in taxes for me! I went ahead and did it though.

      • Cheyenne

        84 for me!

        • Jen

We booked for 2 nights and it was $101.84 for taxes, but for 2 nights stay with that deep of discount was a steal. The standard rooms we were looking at before the Groupon were $169.99 a night!!! OUTRAGEOUS! So, for a more spacious room and an additional night, we jumped on it! When you think about it the 10% saved us the $19.99 utilities fee you must pay at check in (WiFi, gym, etc.). Thank you for bringing the SURPRISE promo code to our attention Collin, you are always looking out for us! Much appreciated!

    • Patty Blevins

Wow!!!Nearly$102.00 in tax and fees for me…yikes not a great deal after all

  9. Bre

Thanks so much! We were planning on booking our trip for June this week so this was perfect timing!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      How exciting! You’re so welcome!

  10. Ms. Frizzle

Thanks, we go to the Kansas City one every 2 years or so. We were waiting for a good deal. We live in Colorado now, but we will be going to Kansas for a wedding next month- perfect timing. I’ve got 2 rooms booked for $320 and 16 water passes…! We love surprising the kids, pretending we are going to Cabela’s and then turn into the GW Lodge parking lot..priceless.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

That sounds like a lot of fun! You’re welcome!

  11. nMaur

The one in PA has bed bugs, their on the official bed bug registry. I know people that went there last month and after seeing the bugs just walked out and left all their stuff. Just went to khalahari this weekend and it was awesome. Got those off groupon too, not sure if it’s still there.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh no! So sorry to hear about that 🙁

  12. Shelley

This deal was only for weekdays, right? Any deals for going on a long weekend (staying Friday and Saturday night)? Thanks!
