Make sure to read the reviews. We have this and I’d say it’s just okay. Within a year one of the arms completely broke and the company wanted me to pay $40 for a new piece. No way! So my dad worked his magic and fixed it, but it’s cheaply made.

I agree with you completely. It’s not made for larger people either. It will easily break. I have one in my baby’s nursery and i like it for when I’m rocking her to sleep. But, yes, very cheaply made.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Bummer! Sorry to hear you had to have one of the arms fixed! Thanks for sharing!

    • Mrs. Waller

Unfortunately, I have to agree, as well.

Ours has been sturdy as a rock for 6 years. I spent many nights with my daughter when she was an infant rocking her in this. It’s very comfortable. You can also wash the cushions and dry them easily.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How sweet! Glad to hear how well it has held up for you Casey!

Great deal I highly recommend! I got mine from Amazon for $140 about 4 years ago and today it works super great! I weighed 165 with my kids using it and now I am 140 lbs. I put a pretty knitted cover on the chair and swaddle on the leg and when guests come by I remove it so its still brand new!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome! Glad to hear how nice it is Lynn!

For larger, plus-sized people I bought a nice heavy duty rocker-glider with footstool at BuyBuyBaby. It is brand Best Chairs, Inc. And is still going strong after 5 years. Once bought one at Wal-Mart, and it fell apart within a couple months.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the helpful feedback Vicki!

I am expecting twins this fall, and I am searching for a wider glider type chair that would allow me to breastfeed both babies at the same time. I haven’t found anything yet and not even sure if they make something like this.

  6. Leslie Duncan

I got one of these as a baby gift almost six years ago. I’m petite and small, it worked perfect for me. It helped me through the many nights of breastfeeding. I still have mine in the bedroom and it does a great job holding all the folded clothes waiting to be put up. I think this is a good deal if you’re on the smaller side, like me. Mine held up just fine!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So glad to hear that Leslie! Thanks for sharing!

I got this chair as a hand me down. The first user owned it for 5 years and now it’s been with me for 16 months. pros: comfy and rocks smoothly . Cons: not easy to clean and an arm broke while I was using it, but it lasted well with the first owner.

Whether You get this chair or another one just make sure it’s one you absolutely love . I never realized how much time id spent in a rocking chair. SO MUCH TIME. My daughter is 16 months and I still use the chair frequently. while I was pregnant I obsessed over cribs and nursery decor and didn’t even think about a rocking chair and yet this has become my most used item. Just wanted to share some small advise 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks for such great advice!

I personally like it when people post reviews, helps me when I’m on the fence about something! I have this, and it’s ok, it kind of creaks a bit and now I kind of wish I registered for something prettier like a gray padded lazy boy looking rocking/gliding chair, but those start around $300? So this is a decent alternative. Ive had mine for 3.5 yrs. I could never nurse babies in this, I always just nurse on the couch with pillows all around and a nursing pillow.

Collin likes feedback on the items she posts, whether negative or positive. And so does a lot of hipsters on here. So…yeah.

Got this same glider from walmart when my son was born 2 years ago. Same price then but now it looks like they only sell with the footrest. You dont need that either. Solid rocker for a cheaper price. We rock in it and read books b4 bed now but I spent so many late nights rocking my baby to sleep in it. Can you spend $400 on a rocker? Yeah….not worth the money imo.

Got a crib from this brand & its flimsy. Dont recommend. Also, assembly instructions were all wrong.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! Sorry to hear about that! Thanks for sharing your experience!

  12. Amy

I bought this for my son’s room and we love it. I find its very comfortable and the quality hasn’t been an issue for us. I would buy again. Great deal, too!
