Thank you!! Does anyone know what the additional cost of a second line would be?

We have been with boost mobile (sprint) for years and love it. $60 unlimited 4G LTE, 8gb free of hotspot, unlimited talk text and data. Lots of extras if you travel internationally or have family in Mexico or Canada like for only $5 more you get unlimited minutes roaming and calls to that country and 8gb of data roaming.

If you use my link we both get $25 statement credit. They also have a lot of cheaper plans if you don’t need unlimited data. https://refer.boostmobile.com/8uJyrCc

My husband just upgraded to an iPhone 5s in March for only $99 and his was unlocked (should have been locked but wasn’t). But after 6 years of being a happy customer even if it was locked it’s one of those things. Not going anywhere great phone at great price. I got my unlocked iPhone 6s for $300 cheaper than apple for the exact same phone on boost.

https://www.cricketwireless.com/5for100 even if you don’t have five lines the discount is still the same person phone per line I have two lines right now currently pay $90 if I added another line it would only be $20 a month extra

$65 is pretty good for unlimited internet! I’m on their $50 plan ($45 with autopay) and I don’t think I’ve ever hit the 5GB before the slowdown, so I’m not their intended target, though.

    • A

Wow. We use 40 gb every month.

      • Karen229

Ya. Family of 4 here and we go over the 16g plan from Verizon every month. My kids go way over 5/month so they’d be bumming. At least with Verizon I can pay for the extra fast data.

  3. Emily

I have 2 lines on t-mobile with unlimited talk, text, and 4G data for $100 (and no contract to boot)… granted that was a promo pricw last year… but $70 a line seems a little spendy.

    • Kim

I agree. We have 5 lines on T-Mobile for $120 after tax. We receive a military discount that is 10-15% but even without the discount it’s still a good price.

    • Luv

Emily, t-mobile has a promotion for 2-lines for $80 included unlimited talk and text with 6G data per line. I just switched my plan to this plan you should call them as it looks like you’ll save $20 and get 2G more.

      • Emily

I have unlimited fast data, I should say. 4G is the speed.

  4. Molly

I have been with cricket for almost 2 years, with the lowest plan ($35/moth). I have great coverage and the data is ok on the cheap plan. The customer service is pretty limited and the rebate system for the phones is pretty hinky, but it is affordable and does what I need it to do! Dont think I can upgrade to the unlimited $70 plan, but would be nice!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks for your feedback Molly!

  5. vanessa

Well I don’t see much of a difference with the one I have $50 ,and I get free text/minutes to mexico and also free roaming and data when I go overthere. We pay $90 for 2 lines we get $10 off.

  6. S

I LOVE Cricket! We switched from AT&T and pay $100 a month (including taxes/fees) for 5 lines with unlimited talk/text and 2.5gb of high speed data per line (once you hit 2.5 it slows down for just the person who reached their data limit). You can’t beat $20/month/line for the same converge as we had with AT&T!

    • Rosa

I agree with S, I have been with Cricket for almost 2 years and we also switched from AT&T and now pay $100 (tax included) for 5 lines. One of our phones was giving us problems and we sent it in and got fixed on two different occasions, no charge. Great customer service in my store in ELK Grove CA. Always great deals on the phones too! Will never go back to regular AT&T.

    • Holly

Ditto. Our bill comes to $95 a month with auto-pay for 5 lines, plenty of internet and texting for all (though none of us are big data users). I pay the bill with my US Bank Flex Perks credit card and earn 5% back on this bill every month. Customer service is a pain in the butt.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Glad to hear how affordable your plan is! Thanks for the great review!

  7. A

No hotspot available. I need the hotspot

  8. Angela

This isn’t really much different than what I pay for Verizon wireless. I don’t have unlimited data but other than that… Very similar. And better coverage with Verizon

    • Cindy J.

What plan do you have with Verizon? We have 6 lines with 10G and pay over $200

  9. Sue

I too can confirm what a great service Cricket is. I have two phones for $90/month on auto pay. I use a credit card that gets points on it for the auto pay and pay it off each month. It is great to know my bill doesn’t fluctuate each month like with other services since all the fees and taxes are included in the price. I have a budget to stick to and it helps me do that.

I am sure most of you already know this, but if you add your home wifi info and connect to it every time you will save data usage. I do use my data when I am out because it is safer than connecting to an unknown source, but I barely use my data by connecting at home. (Though I am not watching multiple movies each day when I am out and about.) I still use it to connect to the internet, check mail, use apps, etc.

Since this is a saving money web site, if you are not using your own connectivity, try it and see how much you use each month implementing this. You may be surprised to learn you could save money by dropping to a cheaper plan. (Kids can throw a wrench in this, but my teen is on the phone constantly and still is able to stick under our 5GB limit. He streams videos, games, etc too.)

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for sharing the helpful tip Sue! Good to know!

I also have Cricket and the service is good and very affordable. Do not forget that if you are a new user signing up you can save another $25 dollars by getting a referral link from a friend. From time to time they have sales on their phones, even for existing customers. Also, you can always get a deal on an unlocked phone that Collin posts here!

cricket bought the company that i had signed up with 4 months prior.they were not exactly compatible with my brand new $70 phone. i had to put up with it for a year.the people at cricket kept suggesting i buy yet another new phone.it was 40 bucks a month for lousey service and an incompatible phone .i could barely call friends across the street forget family in nyc.i now use textnow for $20 a month, on a rebfurb galaxyphone which textnow sold me at a vry good discount.so yeah…i hate cricket!

  12. Marlene

I’ve had cricket for more than 1 yr and live in so cal and it works great ditched the 200 from AT&T and pay 100 for 5 lines now. We always get 4g lte coverage and it never slows down. We do use wifi at home. I wouldn’t pay 70 for 1 line that’s crazy.

  13. Dayna

Okay so i just switched to the 70 dollar plan and i have auto pay but on the app it says its pulling out the full 70 dollars on my due date. Why is that?

  14. Christina

I bought my SIM card at Best Buy for $4.99 (10/20/16) and activated online, so no activation fee! Use my referral code and get a $25 bill credit for your 2nd month of service. https://refer.cricketwireless.com/8zmKAgA?v=2
    I get $25 credit, too.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
