Anyone with a permanent disability ( doesn’t have to be 100% for vets) can get an Access Pass which gets you into national parks for free. Also there’s still the 4th graders get in free pass but you have to print the form in advance.

Does the free access apply to state parks?

Hmmm I don’t know. This is what I found:

Where can I use my Access Pass?
Please contact a site directly if you have a question about pass acceptance and fees.

The Forest Service, the National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, USACE, and Bureau of Reclamation honor the Access Pass at sites where Entrance or Standard Amenity Fees (Day use fees) are charged.

In addition, the Tennessee Valley Authority may honor the Access Pass for entrance or camping discounts.

Also, if you have a child in 4th grade this school year, visit this site: https://www.everykidinapark.gov/ for a pass to get into nearly all national parks through September 1, 2016 and the best part is accompanying family members are free too with this pass! 🙂

      Sweet! Thanks for sharing Susan!

The ones that usually charge there’s nothing for Wisconsin😕

    I’m a little confused.
Do you need a pass, coupon or ticket?
Or, do they waive the fee when you arrive at the park?
Any clarity is greatly appreciated … thanks!

Does anybody know what park that is, in the photo above? It looks absolutely beautiful, I would love to take a vacation there!

That is definitely Glacier National Park in Montana! The picture is specifically of Wild Goose Island in the middle of Saint Mary Lake. 🙂
