Thank you! I have bought this brand at Lowes, when it was on sale, anyone know how much it is at the actual store? TIA

Does anyone know how much a gallon of paint from here normally is?

    • Amanda

      It ranges from $50-75

      • Ashley

        Great, thanks!

    • S

There are several different qualities. I believe the range is about $30-$60.

Any idea what shade the color in the paint can is?

    • Lovin HIm

You can pick any color you want or they will color match if you bring in a sample. My son is a painter and he recommends Sherwin Williams Super Paint, which retails for $52.49 a gallon. He suggests velvet for most uses since it doesn’t show the flaws in the wall but Satin in high traffic areas, or with kids, since it’s easier to clean.
You can go to their website and they have a color visualizer where you can choose one of their colors and see how it will look in a whole room – it is so helpful!
Also, if you aren’t ready to choose your color just yet but want to take advantage of this awesome sale, you can purchase your paint in a base color that would be used for a shade your considering and then bring it back later to be tinted or exchanged for a different base if you choose a different color!

Thanks so much for the info!!

IS it better to buy it at the Sherwin Williams store or at Home Depot?

If you are going to buy LOTS of paint and have an American Express card in CA, AZ, or TX, you might have a “spend $250, get $75 back” offer. It was under my offers for my card. Some do, some don’t, just check your account online.

I bought paint during this deal last year to have the exterior of my house painted… The super paint is awesome!! I am so pleased with how my house looks now and this paint is very durable. Recommended by many professional painters. This is a great deal!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for such great feedback Sarah! Happy to hear what great quality this paint is!

Thanks Elizabeth! I just added the Amex deal to my card.πŸ˜ƒ

My husband used to paint professionally. He will now only use Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore. Cheaper paints either require more coats or don’t cover/wear as well. Sherwin Williams is more affordable so that’s what we usually use!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh cool! Thanks for the helpful feedback! Good to know!

  9. Jean

Does anyone know if the A-100 exterior paint is good?

  10. Sarah

I used to paint professionally and sherwin williams superpaint is my absolute favorite. Its normally about $50 a gallon so with this promo its about $30…definitely the time to get it. It is so much thicker and has much better coverage than any other paint ive used.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Glad to hear that Sarah! Thanks for the review!

I have a lot of painting to do. Those of you that are painters professionally or are related to a painter, can you tell me where to get good quality brushes? I do not believe that the best ones are found at lowes or home depot.

    • Workaholic

Purdy.. And yes those can be found at both Lowe’s and home depot. Oil based paints have a different more expensive brush, but Purdy ones have worked well for me for both latex and oil. Keep a dedicated brush for each because they don’t mix.
