strawberry pie ingredients

This strawberry pie recipe is much easier than you think!

It’s really as simple as chopping up some fresh strawberries, whisking up strawberry-flavored gelatin, and combining them in a store-bought pie crust. You can use your favorite pie crust recipe if desired or skip the baking as a whole and use a graham cracker crust. One of our readers tried it and loved how it turned out!

Score some bonus points by topping off the finished product with cool and creamy whipped cream – YUM! The strawberry gelatin serves as a pie filler, giving more dimension to your dessert. Plus, it will amplify the fruity flavors.

This looks amazing, thank you!! I’m desperately hoping we get to have family over for the 4th of July (missing them so😭) and I can make this!

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Sure and yes I miss my people too, can relate!

  2. Jamie

Make sure to remove the worms from your strawberries first 😂🙈

  3. rayne

My mom makes the crust for this out of Bisquick. Sooo good

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Oh interesting! Sounds yummy!

  4. Lora

Yum! Thanks for the idea. I think adding blueberries would be good. And if you use whipped cream, you’d get the whole red/white/blue Americana vibe going.

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh I LOVE that so much! I may do that for the 4th 😍

  5. Kelly

Thanks. I have been wanting to make crustless strawberry pie, before my strawberries go bad. This looks easy.

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Yes so easy!

  6. ShellB

Yumm. Same recipe I use besides a different thickener.

  7. Kate

Make sure you mix the cornstarch with the sugar well before you add it to the water, otherwise you’ll have clumps. I make a similar recipe that’s a family favorite- soooo easy and always a crowd pleaser!

  8. savvyshops

Yay! I’m gonna make this for our bbq tomorrow;)

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Haven’t made any pies before, and wondering what the strawberry gelatin is for?

    • fanbanann

Basically it’s a filler. I’ve made this many times and it’s delicious! I use Marie Calendar pie crust in the freezer section.

      • sne3103

        Ahh I see, thank you!

        • dsemo

I made this today. It was delicious and so easy! I didn’t change anything on recipe except that I used a pre-made graham cracker crust. I’ll definitely make this again!

  10. rwild1

I used to make this a long time ago but lost the recipe. Thanks for posting it.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

      You’re welcome, rwild1! Enjoy! 🍓🥧

I make this recipe at least a couple times a year. I use sugar free gelatin rather than the regular. It cuts the sugar and you also get a better strawberry flavor

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh nice! Thanks for the tip!
