Can this be used on diapers and formula?? I don’t see those listed in exclusions?!

  2. Alyssat815

Can this coupon be used on diapers and formula? I didn’t see these listed as exclusions?

    • Janice

U can use it on diapers

  3. Samantha Dominik

Thank you thank youuu for posting this!! I just had my baby shower this past weekend and there were many things I didn’t get from my registry that I still wanted to purchase with the gift cards I received, and this promo is much better than the completion discount, which I still haven’t received in the mail yet. So excited to finish shopping for my little guy!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How exciting! So happy you can grab some great savings on the rest of the items you need! You’re SO welcome!

  4. S

So you know. Can you price match and alps use this? Their prices are always so high to begin with on most stuff.

Warning! I hate to be a downer but I seriously want to warn everyone about ordering online from this store using PayPal. Loooong story short I have been charged from the store even though my order was cancelled and I never received the product. This was a month ago and despite repeated phone calls, contacting PayPal, using Facebook, going into a store and speaking with a manager I have gotten no where with getting my $ back. It’s all well and good until your order is cancelled (which has happened to me from this store more than once). Then it’s a huge problem. The store manager I went to see said he flat out tells people never to order online from them at all but especially if using PayPal because even he gets no where if a problem occurs. I’m getting more convinced by the day that I won’t be getting my $ back. Just a heads up!

    • chloe

You can open a dispute through PayPal. Nice thing about paying through PayPal, that you get covered for your purchases. Good luck!

      • Christa

I will look into that, thank you.

    • Brittany

I think you’d have a pretty hard time convincing them that it’s not stealing if you were caught 😳

Perhaps to save yourself time and a trip you should just double check the receipt while you’re still at the register.

      • Carmella

        Echo what Brittany says.

Also, how many times could you possibly be double charged?! The fact that you say the next time you’re in the store you always take something, which your husband calls it stealing, makes me think it’s happened multiple times.

If it were me, I’d call the store as soon as I got home and looked at my receipt. I e done this when I looked at a supermarket receipt. I wrote down the time I called and who I spoke to ON my receipt so when I went in the next day or so it was credible.

Warning about this company! I too refuse to shop at this store any more despite a good deal.. I somehow have been flagged for returning to many items… Even with a receipt I am unable to make returns for one year.. They gave me some ridiculous story about it not being their fault that I was flagged by the “Retail equation” I would highly suggest you reconsider where you register because they can at some point tell you no more returns even if you have a receipt even it was on your registry.

    • Erin

Yikes! How awful! How much shopping/returns have you had? I’m wondering if I have anything to worry about, as I’ve made several returns without receipt over the past couple years. They’ve always been so accommodating I never thought twice about returns.

      • MamaMia

I really don’t know.. Couple hundred dollars maybe… I had registered there and got lots of doubles because nobody bothered to mark my stuff as bought thru my registry. Beyond that I bought and returned a 2 car seats until I found the right fit… All with receipts though… The manager told me he didn’t know what the threshold was that it was out of their hands and handled by the “retail equation” I have never been more frustrated to try to return a unopened stroller in the box with a receipt I paid cash for… Ended up taking it to target to return there with no hassle at all. Seriously.. I would never let my friends register there.

        • dblD-amber

So weird. My son’s both have bays a week before and a week after Xmas so we also get double gifts. So I have to return everything usually without a receipt. Hundreds of dollars a year and in many different transactions. Never had an issue.

        • Erin

Wow! Sounds like an issue for people with registries. You’d think it wouldn’t be a problem since baby registry folks will likely buy more anyway. Well, good to know: no baby registries at BRU! Thanks for the info!

        • Melissa

I’m sorry you had problems with them but why would you return it to Target if you got it at Toys r Us? If you paid cash just have another person return it with the receipt. Why stick target with the item you didn’t get there?

    • Natalie

You should double check that policy. I was just recently flagged as well for returns from my baby shower for returns without a receipt. I returned a lot! I can’t return without a receipt for a year but you can most definitely return with a receipt. Unfortunately everyone doesn’t scan the registry when they buy your gift and it sucks they make you feel like a criminal after your guests spent lots of money purchasing gifts from their store.

  7. Abby

I noticed they raised prices for their 20% off sale. I was looking at a little tikes trampoline that is $10 more today than it was yesterday. I hate it when companies do this! They make it seem like you’re getting a good deal when in reality it would cost the same with a coupon as it would had I bought it yesterday with none

    • Miranda

I noticed the same thing! The pack n plat that I have on my registry was $187. Now it’s $249.

    • Erin

I notice that stores do that, too–so annoying! However, I totally scored today! I got the two-pack special edition Journey Girls (with two extra outfits, MSRP $99) for $31! These dolls were $39.99 the other day, which is lower than TRU’s Black Friday price ($49.99), so that was a good deal as it is, but I was able to use the Q on top of the sale price. I’ve had my eye on these for a while but I couldn’t bring myself to pay more than the BF price, since my daughter really isn’t into playing with dolls so much as dressing and accessorizing her toys. It’s really a pretty good price for the clothes alone! That said, there are definitely some items that are NOT deals. I notice the Minecraft mini figure three packs are up to $10.99 ($7.99-$8.99 at Target) and the Minecraft Legos are cheaper (or a wash after the TRU Q) on Amazon.

  8. Sunny

I saw the email for 20% last night and checked the stroller price. Indeed it has went up from $364.99 to $429.99 πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ™

    • Salma

That really sucks, as a mom I know how it feels. Trying to keep a budget , eyeing stuff u like online , finding a discount but only to realize the prices have been hiked.

    • Brittany

Maybe in store the prices are still the same?

    • mel

Wow, what a crappy thing for a company to do πŸ™

    • Cassandane

I agree. All of the Legos I wanted jumped in price last night, so the 20% doesn’t really save much. It stinks, TRU. Good thing I have Prime!

  9. Kelly

I just got the double stroller we wanted for 20% off and was able to use gift cards!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Awesome!

  10. Pre

Can you price match in store and use the coupon?

    • Ashley

I just called my local store and Toys R Us customer service number. They will do the coupon first then match the price. So it’s basically one or the other. Bummer! They are still over priced with the coupon!

      • Pre

Thank you! It is a bummer. So rubbish of them to hike everything up πŸ™

  11. Danii

Everything I add to my cart says “coupon code has expired”.. Not bothering anymore!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How odd as I am still finding the code to apply for me. Are you by chance on a mobile device? If not maybe try in a different browser. Hope that helps!

  12. Maori

Garage sale season is starting and everything you need for baby can be found for awesome prices. Just find a nice neighborhood near you and happy shopping. πŸ™‚ Got a decent looking double stroller for $5 this morning.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Great find! Thanks for the tip!

  13. Sara

I found the stroller I was looking at last night that was down to $135, is back up to $179 today. But this other stroller that’s on my list is still marked down to $99 and it’s a graco. I’m going in store tomorrow to hopefully buy the chair that’s on my registry. And we’re going to try and price match the activity mat we want, it’s $50 at babies r us, but on sale for $37.99 at Target, and can hopefully combine the 20% off coupon with the price match price.

  14. Vkh

Hmm that interesting. I’ve ordered several deals and with PayPal, got them quickly (just a few days) and no issues, & I returned one with no issue. Wasn’t a high price though.

  15. Cari

make sure you bring lots of ‘proof’ if you want to price match instead of use the coupon. Found the same humidifier at Walmart.com for $20 less and went there to show them on my phone. The item looked identical but since the UPC wasn’t exact they wouldn’t honor it. I called the humidifier company (kazz) and they confirmed it was the exact same product!

    • Cassandane

Many stores are now doing that to prevent PMs. All of the “store exclusive ” colors/patterns will not be honored as an exact item. PIA when car seat shopping.

  16. Jessica

Sale items not giving additional percentage.

  17. Richelle

Wish I could use this for the ergo carrier! Ugh!

  18. Grandma

Thanks for the heads up on this. Went and got my newest grand baby car seat and stroller at a great deal

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Aww, glad to hear that! You’re very welcome! πŸ™‚

I scored yesterday at BabiesRUs, I went in for a couple of big things on my registry and ended up finding a bunch of stuff on clearance too. I price matched an Infatino Grow With Me Activity Gym and Ball Pit to Target.com, where it was $37.40 vs BabiesRUs $49.99. I then used the 20% off coupon, a 15% off coupon for opening a credit card and for some reason there was also a $10 off item coupon applied to it. I paid $18.63 for it, when it was $50 originally, I was ecstatic. I found lots of bibs and sheets that were on clearance for under $8, the bibs were under $5.

  20. Sara

Does anyone know how often BabiesRUs has the Friends and Family sale? Does it occur more than once a year?
