CVSCVS shoppers! The CVS app is adding a new feature called CVS Express that will allow you to shop on-the-go from your CVS mobile app and pick up your order curbside (at select locations only)! This new feature is already being tested in San Francisco, Charlotte, North Carolina, and Atlanta, Georgia and is rolling out in the majority of 7,900 CVS retail locations that will allow customers to buy front-of-store and over-the-counter items (no prescription options), for NO additional costs. Sweet!

CVS ExpressHow does it work? After clicking on the CVS Express tab in your mobile app, just add the participating items you’d like to purchase right from your mobile app and submit your order. CVS will text you to let you know that your order is ready to be picked up and your location services will let CVS know when you’re about to arrive, so they will easily be able to have your order waiting upon arrival! Hi, colline! I was wondering, If I order online and pick-up at store still I will get Extrabucks or not.

This is an awful idea. CVS already had the bare minimum staff working at all hours (two people), and now they expect them to shop for people and then run it out to their cars? I really hope they’ll give the stores more hours for this.

I tried this program in Atlanta and it didn’t work well. I had entered my ExtraCare card into the program, but it wasn’t applied, so I didn’t get the sale prices on items, ECBs, nor did it apply coupons I had loaded on my card. Also, my credit card was charged a higher amount than the actual register receipt that I was given in the bag with my purchase at pick up. This was due to tax rates. It was about $1+ off. When I called customer service to get all of this corrected it was a nightmare! They wanted me to go in to the store (defeating the whole purpose of CURBside EXPRESS!!) and also call the Extra Care department. Really? I told them I was trying to provide them with constructive feedback on a new program and they were really inconveniencing a loyal customer. Great concept just poor education. I’m not trying it again as it’s not worth the headaches.

Darn! That does sound frustrating. I’m wondering if it will take a while to get the kinks out since it is a new program. Thanks so much for sharing your experience!

I was a huge fan of Target’s version and then it just started failing. I park there on the wifi, I send an alert that I am waiting and no one comes out. 10 min, 15 min, 20 min. Last 3 pick ups I had to go inside and get it myself from customer svc. Plus a few items were incorrect flavors. CVS has less employees so I don’t see how this is going to work.

I see so many reasons not to have this a few of you have already given. Granted this could help people with medical conditions or the mom that needs something but doesn’t want to get kids/infants in and out of those car seats just to grab one necessity possibly. However if my lazy butt can’t get out of my car to grab what I need then I deserve the extra pounds that come with that. I’m glad I can do for myself because some people are not that blessed on a more serious note.

Our cvs has a drive thru for prescriptions. I think the idea is great for people that can not get around well, but as for sale and ebs I think it wouldn’t worn well.

    Can I shop with coupons

Man CVS must really hate their employees. What a completely horrendous idea. Not like drive thru pharmacy pick ups are already the laughing stock of the healthcare field, now this? Ridiculous.

  9. JustJen416

This is the worst idea ever! Stores already don’t have enough help. CVS is just setting their employees up for more abuse!

I think there was a $10 off $20 curbside offer online. After reading the reviews, it may not be worth the hassle!

CVS Curbside is ridiculous. Not only was the app difficult to use, I waited about 15mins in my car after I pulled up into the Curbside parking spot and no one showed up! I had to actually go inside the store to pickup my items. In addition to this, when I reviewed my credit card bill a month later, I realized they charged me $1 more than they were suppose to! NEVER again will I use this app!

Try out Sears In-vehicle Pickup as well….it’s fast and free. Plus, you get $5 in points to download the app.
If you shop groceries at Kmart…..you may earn another $5 in points. Sweet deal!!

I just tried it in Illinois, but being my first time I got off and picked up the order. It all went smooth except they didn’t let me use my extra bucks to lower my oop.
