IKEA Restaurants are celebrating their newly remodeled restaurants by offering up three days of potential freebies! Tomorrow, April 29th from 5PM-8PM, the first 100 people in line will score a mystery envelope with food and gift card prizes up to a $100 value!
Then on Saturday, April 30th, the first 30 people in line at 9AM will receive an IKEA goodie bag filled with treats from the Swedish Food Market ($45 value). And the next 100 people in line will receive a mystery envelope with food and gift card prizes up to $100 value.

Wondering what treats were in the goodie bag!!
I went to my local Ikea this morning! I was 9th in line for the goodie bag! I was really happy that I was able to get one! In the goodie bag (which was a large cloth insulated freezer bag), There was a coupon for a 2.2 pound bag of beef meatballs and also chicken meatballs, 3 fruit smoothies, 3 juice boxes, a dark chocolate bar, a milk chocolate bar, a milk chocolate bar with hazelnuts, 2 packets of gravy, and pack of wafer crackers, and a bag of coffee and a Ligonberry jar of jam! Thank you to Collin and team for posting about this! I wouldn’t have known about this if it wasn’t for Hip2save! Thank you!!!!!!!!
Hahah Allison we are twins! I was 9th in line as well:) Yep I got the exact same stuff! I didn’t get a coupon for the meatballs – I got the actual meatballs 🙂
From what I saw for others, they got gift certificates. The ikea woman said only one of the certificates was for $100. The others were for a mix of food and money.
I lucked out on Sat morning too. Would’ve been about 35th in line if my local Ikea hadn’t skipped kids who were in line with their parents. As a result, I was 30th & got the last goodie bag, it sure made my day! I got the actual bags of meatballs too, plus the other items Allison mentioned above. Felt bad for the 3 people directly in line behind me. They got the mystery gift envelopes & each one got a gift certificate for frozen yogurt. Two of them paid $10 each for an Uber ride to get to the store. I thought Ikea could’ve done better & have the smallest mystery prize be worth at least $5.

I don’t have kids, so I didn’t look to see if there were any events specifically for kids. And the webpage doesn’t mention any. I believe there were some specially-priced food offerings for kids in the restaurant, though not sure if it’s just for these 3 days. I think the people who brought their kids were hoping the kids would get the goodie bag/mystery envelopes too. Standing right in front of me in line were a family with 2 young kids. Only the parents received the goodie bag tickets, not the kids. Pretty much everyone then proceeded to the restaurant to have breakfast. The Swedish-American breakfast was just $1.49 (reg. $2.99), so it’s an inexpensive breakfast for the family. Also, if you have an Ikea family card, coffee/tea are free.
