Regarding the Baby Trend stroller. My personal review is this stroller is not great for speeds other than a slow stroll. Power walking and jogging forget it. The issue with my stroller is the front wheel wobbles when not locked. Weekly I have to unscrew the foot rest and tighten the bolt. I pick up a little speed from power walking and practically trip over the stroller having a wobble attack. Many other reviews complain of the same issue.

Bummer! Sorry to hear about the front wheel! Thanks so much for the honest review!

I have a question for all the moms out there with 2 under the age of 2 or 3. Just found out I’m pregnant with number 2 and my son is turning 2 and I’m due at the end of the year. Any advice or recommendations on products or handling them? I would really appreciate it. Right now I’m trying to find or decide if I really need a double stroller.
    Thanks.
(OR if Collin decides to do another post on babies again wink wink)

My oldest son was 20 months when my second son was born and I had the same questions. I decided to buy a double jogging stroller (side by side) and a carrier similar to the Ergo. I actually used my carrier much more than my double. I had a single jogging stroller as well and I would put my almost 2 year old in that and carry the baby in the carrier. Now my oldest is almost 3 and the baby is almost 1 and I think the double will really come in handy this summer. So basically if your able to buy a double I would go for it, but the carrier was great to start off with and then you can purchase a double as your budget allows. We bought the Baby Trend Navigator double and it’s great. Not ideal for stores, but amazing for walks! Hope that helps.

Thank you so much! My best friend gave me a ergo for my son and I loved it when I figured out how to use it. We have 2 regular strollers, 1 lite stroller, and 2 umbrella stroller between our mom’s and us. Luckily I love finding sales and I got a travel system and extra stroller for $150! I’m just worried because we had a chicco keyfit stroller and it seemed pretty big and then we used the lite as soon as he was a little older.

Congratulations on #2! I have 4 kids under the age of 7 and when #2 came along I borrowed as many different strollers, carriers and even seats like exersaucers and bouncy seats. If you are able to borrow things, then you can really figure out what you like and what works best for your family. All 4 of our kids hated the carriers or any type of wrap to carry them. However, they all loved the stroller (we ended up investing in a single Bob Revolution and we love it and still use it all the time) and any swing. We ended up getting two sit and stands for free but the kids prefer to walk or go in the Bob stroller. Hope this helps!

HI, I have 3 under the age of 5 – and I have wasted so much money buying baby stuff to try to ease the pain of trying to keep my herd together. I have a graco dou glide double stroller. Which I like because it has a basket underneath that holds everything while shopping, and catches everthing that your kids drop. I also have a wee go, which is one of those side by side doubles that is a jogger and a bike hauler. But its too wide to get thru doors. I have a baby sling, thinking i could carry one and push one is a single stroller – but they start getting heavy after a while ( and then I have the chico car fit system and 2 umbrella strollers) OMG, I have spent so much on all of this its ridiculous. IF I could do it over again – I would have shelled out for the City Select by baby jogger. You can get a double, the seats actually come out, so you can use it as one or two, plus the seats flip around and adjust up and down to any configuration to meet your needs (baby sleeping facing you, toddler sitting up facing away from you) They are so versatile and convenient. AND if you have a 3rd kiddo, you can buy a glider – its like a skateboard, it hooks on to the bottom in the back under the handle bars, so a kid can stand on it and hold on while you push. or you can use it to put your purse on – it doesn’t have the big basket underneath to hold a million bags, but you can buy bag hooks to put on the handle ( but would make it top heavy).

I know that was a lot of info – But it is SO hard to pick this stuff out. And you just don’t know what you need and when you’ll need it till you’ve figured it out and already spent the money. I think it might be inevitable that you have to buy several things to meet your needs. But just think really hard about where you will be taking the stroller the most. Like does your local grocey store have double carts or car carts? Than you won’t need a stroller there (and while the baby is still in the car seat, there are many ways to put it in a cart).

I hope that helps a little!

      • laureen

Omg. Thank you ladies so much. Your input is great and much needed. I’m the oldest of 7 so I knew when my son was born what stuff just wasn’t needed. My youngest sibling is my 5 yr old brother who we still get clothes from. (My 1yr old is invested in 2t clothes lol) So far I’m searching Craigslist for a couple items I know I will need. I will swing by babies r us before I make the plunge into buying strollers to check out your recommendations.

I couldn’t use the children’s place code. It says only when you use your children’s place card. Bummer :/

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! Thanks for the heads up Shannon! Just updated!
