Hey Collin how come you don’t post a lot of glitches? Like today’s sports authority ones… I understand a lot of orders get canceled but I follow your site like crazy and would love to do some glitch orders. 😉

What is it
Because its kind of unethicial, if the deal is a known “glitch” you are taking advantage of it and the company. Ive seen some posts that say it could be a pricing error as it seems too good to be true but if its a known error that just seems wrong. Only my opinion, but I believe Hip2Save does a wonderful job vetting the deals and making sure scenarios are all by the book.

Could someone explain how the red box codes work? I noticed it said not valid at the red box machines.
You have to use it in the app to reserve- or online
You have to go to redbox.com, pick a movie, pick a location, check out with the promo code. Then pick up the movie at the kiosk machine by just swiping your card.
You need to use the app or redbox.com. What is nice about this is you reserve what you want and can pick it up later. As part of the PTSA, I am helping out at school for a teacher luncheon. After, I can pick up a redbox movie and watch it before the kiddos get home 😀

Does Redbox still charge for reservation at the box?
I’m not sure what you’re asking, Nicky, but they will place a $1 hold on your card when you swipe to pick up when using promo codes. I think it’s just to verify that they can charge in case you keep it for more than one night. It drops off my account after a couple days for me. I always try to return next day, to avoid any charges.
Ok, I figure it wouldn’t hurt to ask. I have been charged before for a night and the reservations charge was 13 cents… I know it’s not much but it does add up. I’m scared to try Redbox again.
Just make sure you pick them up on the day you rent them before 9pm and return them the next day by 9pm and you shouldn’t have any additional charges for a free one.
No, they don’t charge for holding a DVD! 🙂

Does anyone know the rules for when Redbox rentals have to be returned? Do you have 24 hours from pick up the dvd or 24 hours from reserving it. We got charged once after returning it the next day but it had been just over 24 hours from reserving it.
The rental is due the next day at 9:00 PM the latest. I don’t know if it is on the dot but I would not try risking it.
Hi, Kate. They have to be returned the next day by 9pm, after the day you reserve it.
You have until 9pm the follow evening to return it or you get charged for another day.
