Heads-up Kohl’s Shoppers! If you’re heading to your local Kohl’s store soon, keep an eye out for these Columbia Fleece Throws 50″x60″ possibly on clearance for ONLY $9.99 (regularly $99.99?!). You may also spot this Columbia Indoor/Outdoor Throw with Hidden Storage Pocket for just $11.99 (regularly $119.99?!).

Columbia Blankets

If these are not marked on clearance, be sure to price check! Both of these blankets were not properly marked at my store; but as you can see from the picture above, they were indeed ringing up at 90% off the retail price.

Kohl's Clearance

And keep an eye out for cheap tees!

I also spotted a nice selection of Men’s Tees marked down by as much as 90% – prices were as low as $1.40! Awesome deals!

I might stop there after work and look, does anyone know how soft they are?

Also, not about kohls, I have a question unrelated to this post. Had anyone ordered that $11 playstation plus card from eBay a while back. I called ebay and said that they would give me a refund if the product was not found. I ordered 5 cards for 55 dollars. It shipped and was delivered but not to me. To someone else. I was charged but wasn’t worried because ebay protects the credit cards from seller. I was wondering if anyone else called them.

    Regular price is $119.99? Really?

    • anna

      I was thinking this exactly.

    • Greg @ moneysavingquest.com

Guessing these were origingally more in the $40 range

    • Just Me

I think they were at least $70 at my store. Been watching them

    • Melloddie

Think they are charging 90 bucks for the name “Columbia”. This is usually how things work. Brand names mark up their items no matter where they are made.

  3. Just Me

I almost went to kohls for this exact thing! Wish I’d stopped guess hopefully tomorrow

I bought a off white one last week, similar for 9.99 I think original price was 99.00 I don’t think it’s anything special:( I would never pay 99.00 for it and thought I would try one for 9.99 but again in my opinion there isn’t anything special about these.

Great score Molly! Thanks so much for the honest review!

What section of the store did you find them?

    • Greg @ moneysavingquest.com

Wondering this as well. By the bedding?

    • Stephanie

They are located In the bedding section

  6. trace

Was just there, juniors girls clearance varied but was like only 60% off.

  7. Kohlskillsme

Kohls prices are such a joke! California sues kohls a few years back for deceptive pricing. Not sure how they get away with creating fake msrp prices that are way higher than every other retailer.

  8. Beamergirl

Their prices are always marked up ! Went Xmas shopping one year an took back all the kids toys got them cheaper at Walmart an target!

I think most stores operate this way now. JCPenney’s, Kohl’s, etc. They lure you in by making you think you are getting an amazing deal. It’s very deceptive. But that just makes you question their regular markups, because you know they are still making their profits.

some comments may be true but before I buy anything on clearance and mostly on line I check the prices elsewhere and find that when they have a good sale like the 90 percent I got the other day. got 25 items for 75.00 plus florida tax. regualr retail was over 605.00. I can honestly say they are not marking there prices up. if you know how to stack your coupons etc online not in the store then you can do it.I have shopped kohls in 3 different states .love the store. I never buy anything full price even half price. either 70 -90 percent off. my grandkids are the best clothed kids at there school. I do shopping for my daughter and several other ladies. but guess what our small little town of 5000 got today. seriously a walmart. best thing ever. now when Collin posts his walmart posts just have to go two traffic lites and I am there.

    • Just Me

They do mark up their prices and the only reason ppl shop there because stacking coupons brings it to a good deal. But without coupons regular price is ridiculous!

    • Sarah

      *Her* Deals =)

      • Just Me

Is kohls feminine? Don’t see the need for her since I was referring to kohls not a woman

  11. Molly

Really makes you wonder…how dumb are shoppers? Lol, it maybe a $20 blanket….originally $119?! No way! But I’d def snag one at $9 lol😂😎😂

  12. Judy

OT: I’m trying to find a down or down-alternative throw …. anyone have any suggestions? best price I’ve found was about $50 which is way more than I’d like to pay

    • Marie

Kohls always has great deals on alternative throws during Black Friday weekend, if you can wait that long. I have 3 and bought them all during Black Friday sales for around 20 dollars. I’ve actually seen them advertised for less than that here on Hip 2 Save but those sales are usually in the Fall.

      • Judy

Thanks Marie, it is definitely worth waiting since I can’t seem to find them for under $40 right now, and I am waaaaay too frugal to pay that much for one 🙂

I bought this a few weeks ago on clearance in a Utah store. I bought it for my daughter going to college. It is super duper nice. One side is the water/weather proof material and the inside is warm fluffy fleece. It can zip together like a sleeping bag. Perfect for a stadium blanket, bonfire snugly or picnic blanket. It rolls up into a bag that’s included. I paid $15 after kohls cash. If you can find them at $10…WOW!!! I think it’s worth at least $50- super high quality. I recommend highly!!!

I found these at my store for $11.99. In know Columbia items in general are higher. I have been watching these blankets for SO LONG now. Just waiting for them to go down. Obviously, with the regular price of $119.99 they sat on the shelves for a LONG time. I found it for $22.00 a few weeks ago, bought one. I LOVED it. The quality is really good. it’s not a cheap made blanket. it is waterproof on one side and soft fleece on the other. I was there a few days ago, I saw them for $11.99. there was probably 40 left. I bought 5. Early Christmas shopping. In my opinion, these are probably worth $40-$50 so it really is a great deal.

  15. Deb

Saw these at my Grand Rapids, MI store last week for $19.99, regular $99.99. They seemed pretty nice. Like a lightweight fleece but much sturdier than the usual you find in drugstores.

  16. Stacy

I bought 3 of these yesterday used one to sleep last night what a great little blanket!!

  17. Jamie

Has anybody seen any deals on twin size beds and twin sized matresses? Are there usually black friday deals for them? When is the best time of year to purchase them and get the best price? Thanks everybody!!

  18. Jane

Just went to Kohls to check the Columbia indoor/outdoor throws out, and they were $11.99 (Reg. $119.99)! And I totally agree with all you guys and I definitely don’t think it should really be $119.99 normally, but for $11.99, it’s still a great deal! Plus, I had $10 in Yes2You rewards, so I got two and paid about $15 for both! Woohoo 🙂
