Any thoughts on quality
From jet the other day I got the 4″ foam toddler crib one for $27 with the extra 15 for being a new member… With my older 2 kids the spring ones ended up getting lumpy and the springs came through… Not sure about this one though…
Terrible quality. It’s lumpy and unbalanced. If your baby rolls to one side the other will lift. And my baby was 50th percentile at the time. We thought our baby was a bad sleeper…but we decided to purchase a foam mattress for approx $100 on Amazon after 7 months of TERRIBLE sleep. We switched and our kid woke up once a night afterward (compared to the usual 6-7 times a night). Your sleep deserves a better mattress..don’t settle for a deal this time.
Thank you!
what mattress did u buy from amazon???
Oh bummer! So sorry to hear that 🙁 Thanks for the honest review!
Baby mattresses with waterproof covers make great dog beds for bigger dogs! You can cover it with a fitted sheet to further protect it.
Great tip Shannon! Thanks for sharing!
Lorraine can please tell me what mattress u bought? I think that’s all my baby needs is a better mattress !thank youyou
Jo and others: I can highly recommend the “Sealy Baby – Ortho Rest Crib and Toddler Mattress” which I purchased on Walmart.com for $62. Yes, definitely little pricier but it has been great! Sometimes it’s nice to know that you are getting a good quality (based on personal reviews) not just a “deal” because it’s inexpensive and it ends up being not so great quality. Then a deal becomes no deal. I felt like in my case, I’m using it for sleepovers for my one granddaughter and any others which may come into the family in the future so I could “justify” the extra monies towards it for many babies (I hope)! Also I haven’t researched this mattress on other sites (Amazon, Bye bye baby, Target, etc.) so hopefully you find a good deal on a mattress somewhere. Good luck!
Well, I’ll agree about the quality part. It’s not worth losing sleep to save a few bucks. I also believe the plastic used in these mattresses can be dangerous (that’s just my personal belief). SIDS is so scary and if you dig into it a bit you can find some interesting data. We sprung for an organic mattress with our new baby and it’s extremely firm. She seems to be sleeping better than my first daughter did on her regular baby mattress. Plus I’m not worried about off gassing and her breathing fumes all those hours she sleeps as a newborn.
