Thanks for the heads up on this. I am adding to the post now.

Darn, my store said that too…

I just spent $180 for my dog so I added another 20 of aquatic products for my fish and didn’t get a ticket. The manager told me I had to purchase a starter kit or a tank. I asked her senior manager and was told the same thing. I returned my products and told them they should change the sign but they have no intention of doing so.
This store is Marketplace Blvd 30040

Thanks for the reminder on this. Thought I’d have a baby by then but looks like he’s hanging tight, so I’ll be able to take my older son.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome!

My store said purchase required too in Darien IL

On the weekly add specifies $15 purchase on aquatics, in order to get the coloring book you need to fees the fishes.

Since Finding Nemo, I think there was a great market for aquatics and aquatic plants. I know we had 4 tanks at one point, lol. It looks like they are trying to restart the movement with a new generation, and I’m totally okay with that:)

I don’t know if they still have the “Fish of the Month Club” at Jack’s, but it was a great way to add to your fish collection! It cost a few dollars to join and you get one free fish (under $3) a month.

Just called my local PetSmart store. I was told the in-store flyer (issued from corporate) promoting this event indicates a $15 aquatics purchase to receive the free movie ticket. The promo code will print out on your register receipt.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for sharing! Good to know!

i just bought more that $15 worth of aquatics there and had I seen this I would have waited till Saturday to do this

    • Kellie

Dawn try taking your receipt up there today to see if they will still honor it or give them a call and ask the manager

My store has a coloring page, not a book, and i feel that they should have mentioned the $15 purchase on their page. Im not happy with them.

  9. Jeremy

Don’t go unless you’re buying a starter kit or tank. They will not give you a ticket. I brought this to the attention of the store manager at marketplace Blvd in Cumming, GA and was told the same. No ticket.

My son and I were the only customers at the event at noon. We went knowing we had to spend $15 to receive the movie voucher. Spent $25 and no voucher or code was produced on the receipt. The employees tried ringing up one of the Finding Dory tanks as a “test” purchase and they still couldn’t get voucher to trigger. We left our info and are hoping the company honors the free ticket.

So the movie codes didn’t print off for any of the stores. My local store said to text (all caps and all one word) PETSMARTAQUA to 811811 for further instruction.

  12. michelle w.

Here’s how it went down for me in Nashville, TN. It does NOT print out on your receipt. You have to text the code PETSMARTAQUA to 811811. They will then ask you to take a picture of your receipt and submit it through the text thread. They you will get another text that said they got your submission and will get you confirmation text within 48 hours.

    • M

I did that and still haven’t gotten any info

  13. Claire

Thanks for the info! I have been trying to text the number, but it’s coming back as saying unable to send. Anyone else having this problem?

At my store (I am an associate at PetSmart), it wasn’t printing out but we gave everyone who bought $15 worth of fish stuff $10 off so they can buy their own ticket. ๐Ÿ™‚ The code started printing out later in the day! One lucky person got $10 off AND the free ticket. ๐Ÿ™‚

My Petsmart had a whole decorated table set up for this. They had coloring pages and my son got a plastic fish bowl to decorate with adhesive backed foam fish sticker things. We got the free ticket offer printed on our receipt with $15 aquatic purchase—needed a few things for our aquarium anyway.

I have to say that my store went above and beyond to make things right. They called me to say that they had printed off a duplicate receipt for me with the ticket info on it and I could pick it up whenever I had time. When I picked it up the associate was really kind. She was very apologetic and even gave me a gift card. I have always bought all of our aquarium supplies from this location (South Stafford, VA) and will continue to do so!

my store could not get movie ticket info to print out. The manager could not be any nicer called corporate to get help. she was #120 in line on hold. she took my info and my receipt number to get me my movie ticket info. hopefully they call. but you never know. side note the light on the new aquarium is not working. not sure what i should do. since tank has fish in it already.
