How does the 100 percent back rewards work…..interested in using for next school year for supplies.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

HI Joanna! It says in the fine print to allow up to 5 weeks after the promotion ends for Rewards to become available in your account. Just be sure that you are logged into your account when ordering. Hope that helps!

How do you submit for the rewards after the fact? These are kind of expensive to order 12 and not be absolutely sure i understand how it works.

You can use the $$20 off $100 to make it a money maker!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks Sara! I just added to the post!

I could be wrong, but it has been my experience in the past that you can only earn rewards on the amount that you spend. So for example…if you spend $100.00 on binders, you will receive $100.00 in rewards. But if you use a coupon for $20.00 off $100.00 and only spend $80.00 on binders, you will only receive $80.00 in rewards. This helps to reduce the amount you spend, but also reduces the amount of rewards you receive.
I think this is the way it works and hope this helps someone. 😊

How do you submit for the 100% in rewards???

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi Carla! Be sure you are logged in to your account when ordering and allow up to five weeks for rewards to appear in your account. Hope that helps!

Here’s a copy of my chat with OFFICE MAX rep (edited):

Finn: For the promotion, you will actually get 100% back in reward for the binders that you will purchase. The binders listed can be found on the link that you have provided. You will be getting them back through points on your rewards account.
You: so i have to make a rewards account and for every dollar i spend on the binders that will be added to my account as rewards money? then that rewards money can be used to buy other stuff at the store
Finn: Here is a list of the items that are qualified for this promotion:
Finn: Yes, you are correct. You will be receiving them as points. For example, you purchase the binders and the price is at $7.99, you will be getting 799 points on your account.
Finn: For every 1000 points you accumulate, you will get a $10 reward certificate by the end of the month.
You: it says limit 12 so I can buy 12 for 7.99 which is equal to $90 in rewards? And that can be spent in the store for anything I want
Finn: Yes, you are correct. Purchasing 12 binders will earn you 9588 points, and is equivalent to a $90 reward certificate. The reward certificate can be used for purchasing items online or in store, but this can not be used to purchase gift cards, or postage stamps.
    You: okay thank you

    • Carla

      Thanks for posting that!

How long are the rewards good for? If it takes 5 weeks to get the rewards in my account, when will these rewards expire? And do I have to spend it all at once? Or in certain increments?

  8. mamasweetpea08

seems like a nice offer. just not sure if there are things I need to get during the redemption period. anyone know how long we have before the reward credit expires?

  9. wendy

If you want to take advantage of the 20 off 100 coupon this might work :
    purchase the 12 binders @ 7.99 = 95.88
anything else for at least 24.12 to make the total at $120.00 or more
then use the 20 off 100 coupon.
pay 100 plus tax and get back 95.88 in rewards

    • Kathryn K

Probably won’t work that way either for the total rewards award. When I’ve used a OD coupon in store, it took a little off each item I purchased on the receipt, making each item cheaper, not the total only.
