   Anyone with experience with this item, I’m thinking of getting it for the beach, would it be too hot? I love the water but hate the dry sand. Any input? Thanks.

   I would say yes it would be hot on the beach. These tents don’t have the kind of airflow you’d need to keep someone cool inside on the hot sand.

  tommy Bahama has the type of “beach tent” that you are looking for on their website. It is $78 I believe, but they have a $50 off $100 coupon floating around that I used for mine.

   We have this tent and I love it! I have taken it camping in the rain and in the desert. The tent held up well in both conditions. The little “loft” area is great for holding glasses or a glow stick or light. A twin sized air mattress fits inside nicely and leaves room for your things beside. The little front side wings are great for setting things you might need quick access to (extra water bottle, first aid kit, flashlight) because it has a zipper access to one of the wings. I highly recommend this tent, especially for Scouting events as I have used it for.
