   Can anyone recommend a decent box fan that is quiet? It’s like we are on the edge of an air strip when we turn our fans on!

   I love box fans! I know they are noisy & not the most attractive but I have yet to find a better fan for moving air. To me the purpose of a fan is to move air, the more the better & outside of an industrial type fan, no other does a better job than the good ole box, lol.

  Yes! Box fans are perfect for creating white noise for sleeping. We use ours every night, even if we have to turn them away from us in the winter.
