Voluntary RECALL on Select Nature Valley Bars
Heads up! General Mills recently announced a voluntary national recall of four specific flavors of Nature Valley Protein Chewy Bars and Nature Valley Simple Nut Bars. The recall is being issued as part of sunflower kernel supplier SunOpta’s ongoing national recall for the potential presence of Listeria monocytogenes.
Recalled Flavors Include:
Nature Valley Protein Chewy Bar – Honey, Peanut & Almond with Pumpkin Seeds 5 count

Nature Valley Protein Chewy Bar – Peanut, Almond & Dark Chocolate 5 count
→ Package UPC: 000-16000-45724
Nature Valley Simple Nut Bar – Almond, Cashew & Sea Salt 4 count AND 25 count
→ Package UPC: 000-16000-46474 (4 count)
→ Package UPC: 000-16000-41301 (25 count)
Nature Valley Simple Nut Bar – Roasted Peanut & Honey 4 count AND 16 count

This recall only affects the above flavors of Nature Valley’s different products – other Nature Valley products are not affected. If you are affected by this recall, you can contact General Mills Consumer Relations at 1-866-896-4365 for a replacement.

I have the one with pumpkin seeds and same upc. Looks like someone at 2 bars already. Do you think anything bad can happen?
We ate 2 out of our box too. Being a voluntary recall, I think they are just taking extra precautions & the risk is probably slim to none.
They are currently selling all of the above flavors at 99 cent only stores… I bought one of each…we haven’t eaten them yet 😷 I wonder of they knew about the recall when they sent them to the 99?!?!
I have the Roasted Nut Crunch (Almond Crunch) bars and I ate one last week and had headache, severe abdomnial pain, nausea & vomiting for like 12 hours. Maybe coincidence since those are not on the list, but they have sunflower seeds and I’m not taking a chance. I am not eating the rest of that box.
I had two Salted Caramel Nut protein bars in one day – one for breakfast, one for lunch. I was in the bathroom for four hours straight after dinner that night with severe gastrointestinal issues. That particular flavor is not on the list but I am convinced it should be!! They were the only different thing I ate that day, and I threw the rest of the box away because of it.
I just had a bar of Salted Caramel Nut protein bar that I bought them last month, and after a couple of minutes of eating it I started to feel sick with stomach ache, vomit and so far I feel like im going to explode my stomach feels like im going to the restroom soon. I definitely think this should be on the recall
I have celiac disease and ate the gf salted caramel xl protein bar. Within 15 minutes the pain and abdominal cramping became severe. Absolutely no doubt it was from the bar. Beware! My Friday night is ruined now! Hope I don’t have to go to the er!
