Take advice from a real dog person (me), I would spend the extra bucks and get a real (not a knock-off) Furminator. Even though this item is highly rated, it appears everyone got this item for free in exchange for their “honest review.”

I have a knock-off version of the furminator for our cat and it works just as great! except the brush is like the first picture that Collin posted not the round brush. This round brush doesn’t look like it would work well but there are other brands out there that you can get for cheaper and don’t have to pay 40$ for the furminator.

I bought the large furminator for $60 for my German Shepard and it broke after minimal use because of the slide out piece. It was a great tool and I needed something new so this came at the perfect time. I see no need to get the name brand when it breaks too 🙂
