   Can anyone tell me if square requires a lengthy setup process? My husband heard from a friend that they froze his account and asked for bank statements and a whole list of items before they will unfreeze his account. Just wondering if this is true or has happened to anyone else?

  I use Square for my business and I love it! I didn’t have a lengthy sign up process at all and it is the only reader that I haven’t had issues with. I’ve also used PayPal and the Etsy card reader and neither ever worked as well as Square.

  I have used square for my business to and never an issue. My reader was free. If you have people sign up under your referral link you and the refer person received $1000 in free processing too.

   Aren’t squares becoming obsolete? I thought new law being implemented is that everyone has to use the chip or transactions aren’t guaranteed to be paid

   Don’t use this!!! I know people have used it and had no problems but I got hacked $5700 by using this!!!!

  I’ve been using this for 5 years for my business. Never had I even had a hiccup with service, never hacked and deposits are next morning or same day versus 3 days to a week with other processors.

   Do Not Support this Company !! Go read reviews on the BBB ! My husband set up Square for his business and after the first two higher dollar transactions that he ran through – they completely froze his acct and refused to give him any reason why or anyone to talk to about it – they gave us the run around for three months & we have yet to actually speak to a human being from the Square company – they took out over $750 in ‘fees’ from both of his customers & refuse to refund the money – they are a Horrible, Dirty , Dishonest Company – I will never do business with anyone who uses Square or who supports them !! Beware
