Is there much waste of good parts of the pineapple with using this?
I have this but it’s plastic and I LOVE it. Little to no waste as long as you don’t big the giant pineapple. I just used mine today.
I have something pretty similar to this in plastic and there can be a fair amount of waste if you have a wide pineapple so I tend to look for one that is more tall and narrow. Other than that I absolutely love it, by far my favorite kitchen gadget’

The last one Hip2Save posted about was a third party seller on Amazon. This is a different website all together. I have 2 of these and LOVE them. I eat so much more pineapple now that it’s a breeze to prepare. I suggest ordering one that is shipped and sold by Amazon. Good luck!
I ordered one and it came and the metal was all scratched and had clumps of solder on the inside of the tube at the seam. I was leary about whether or not the solder was lead based due to the poor quality of the item so I ended up throwing it out. Don’t want to takes any chances ingesting food after it had been in contact with the solder.
I have tried 2 times as well. Neither ever came

Collin, I have been a hip2save follower and ordered from this website on your recommendation. My first order did not go through and said ‘payment unsuccessful, try again later’ so I cancelled that order and re ordered quite a big order to give as gifts. Got an email saying both orders were shipped when I specifically cancelled one. Tried to contact their customer service where you file a ticket and they said sorry for the inconvenience, your orders are shipped along with the order information that I already knew. No phone number, no way to get in touch with anyone. Turns out this company is based in China! very disappointed!

We have this same model and LOVE it! It is so quick and easy! We eat a lot more pineapple now, and it tastes so much better than the stuff that’s canned/prepackaged. Well worth the money for this awesome slicer!

I have this and use it at least weekly. If you purchase a wide pineapple, there will be more waste, but I tend to purchase the narrow and tall ones. It literally takes 5 minutes and I’m done.

I have this and love it. I can cut an entire pineapple in under 5 minutes including cleanup. I simply rinse off the gadget and let it dry. I would highly recommend even if you only buy a few pineapples a year!

I have a plastic one ($5 at Walmart) and like someone above said, it is my favorite kitchen gadget! I have been buying pineapples every week now because it’s so easy to use. I always hated buying pineapples before because it was such a mess cutting them.

I agree with what some others have said, you need this if you eat pineapple! We ordered one from a site mentioned here a year or so ago but it never arrived so be careful!. But you can almost always find a good priced one at Ross or tj Maxx!!
