The deals on this brand has always being better than Tide. Does it not wash as well?

I love using Purex. Tide is waaaay overpriced IMHO as I don’t think it works as well as cheaper detergents out there.

      • thanks!

I can second this. Sadly, I have to use Tide for my husband’s clothes because everything else makes him breakout but I’ve used TONS of different detergents for me and the cheaper brands work just fine. I use whatever I can get the best deal on for my clothes and have never had a problem.

Thank you! I’ve been suspecting this, should try for a while to see how it works for my family.

I almost always use Purex, All or Arm&Hammer and they work fine for me. I work in an office though, so I’m usually just refreshing my clothes – not trying to get out odors, sweat or stains. For my 6yo I’m usually refreshing hers too unless she spills something on it and then the detergent in the regular load isn’t enough anyway – at that point I’m pre-treating, using stain-specific products, bleach or Totally Awesome. For towels and sheets I’ve found detergent plus a dash of white vinegar and hot water works well. My mom swore by Tide when I was growing up though – my dad worked a blue collar job and my brother was a classic boy (playing outside getting sweaty and dirty and grass-stained-knees)

I love Purex and I love this deal. I just finished coming from my Target (South Texas) and I was able to purchase my two Purex detergents. Thank you Collin and Hip2Save for the daily posts.

      You’re welcome Gracie!

They unfortunately don’t sell these in store where I live 🙁

I’m glad that I don’t have any allergies and can use any detergent, but when I get a good deal on any one I go and buy, I have Tide and Gain from previous deals but could not pass this one up, I had a $5 gc from a previous purchase from Target so I started with it on top of the $3/2 MC and I paid $6.27 out of pocket and received the $5 gc so just $1.27 for 2 big bottles, I actually did 4 different transactions, I stocked up because I have 3 grand children coming up for the summer and will be washing clothes probably 2 -3 times a week (all boys), if you know what I mean:)

The cost in orange county, CA
    $6.99 x 2 $13.98

    Subtotal 11.98
    REDcard -0.35
    Tax 8% .69
    TOTAL: 12.32
    $5.00 gift card
so really $7.32 or $3.66 each

    130oz 100 loads= 0.366 each load
