Did you ask the cashier to apply those coupons? I had to tell the cashier to apply if I sent coupons to my card. I am not sure how the app coupons works because I skipped all the app saving deals. I prefer to have my CRT paper coupons on hand and make sure I will receive the discounts.
i did and I was looking at the register screen the whole time with the cashier, and those coupons were in red meaning not applicable (i guess). My only guess is that it matters which coupons (cvs vs. manufacturer) get scanned first. Thoughts?
You’re right, Manna. This deal would only work if the cashier applied the in-app coupon before scanning the manufacturer coupons. I was looking at the screen and noticed a pop-up appears asking the cashier if all other coupons have been scanned, then it shows the sent to card coupons. I’m not sure if it’s possible for the cashier to apply the in-app coupons before manufacturer coupons. Can anyone verify?
I tried this deal and it was a no-go. After the free mascara coupons were scanned, my total was 10.98 for two eyeshadow softies and the $10 off $30 coupon was red (not applicable). And my cashier was judgemental and rude about it. After accusing me of stealing my coupons because I made an honest mistake of trying to be helpful by filling in the mascara price for her she goes, “$10 off $30? You didn’t even spend 30!” 🙁 I’m just trying to save money lady.

I did the almay and I had the 10/30 cosmetic app, 10/40 purchase sent to card, 10/60 purchase app. Bought 132.00, told the cashier to apply them all (usually the red box will give you a print out of all the apps if you scan your card ahead of time) , gave her all my coupons and everything went through. It doesn’t seem to matter the order in which anything goes through. The register just recalculates the coupon and apps.
At my store, they take all manuf q’s first, then store q’s (including extrabux) then apply all applicable sent to card offers. If they apply the app q’s first, they’ll actually get kicked out after the cashier scans paper crts & ecbs. That’s why the cashiers have to apply them last.
If any offers come up red, the cashier cannot override it. But if it comes up yellow, they can. Some cashiers, however don’t like to override yellows. I’ve been told they get written up for overrides. Honestly, that’s not my fault nor theirs, esp when I’m using the offers CVS sends me! It’s their stupid registers for whatever reason rejects the q’s.
Anyway, when I get a cashier that says I didn’t spend $30 b/c I used coupons, I politely explain that using coupons is like giving a check as partial payment. I still “spent” $30, $10 should be deducted, less the q’s and I’ll pay the remainder in cash or credit. Then the store not only gets reimbursed the full value of the coupons, they also receive a handling free in return, so you’re MAKING money by accepting these manuf q’s. Usually that works!

Yes ,Gina my Android app crashed on Sunday too! Called and they are working on the problem. No app coupons for me this week but all the other coupons printed out fine at the red box.

But the EB didn’t print and then I couldn’t even find the deal in the ad paper. Then I looked on my phone and the towelettes weren’t included in the offer. It says ‘Starting at $9.29 ‘ Did this work for anyone?
