My book cost $14.99 total. After shipping, tax AND the storytelling option (which is what I guess my son did on the book), so my guess is you did a storytelling mode? That adds an extra $5.99 to the cost of the book, and isn’t free.
I seriously have tried like 30 times to make one of these the past year & have had so much trouble:( I have tried both the mobile app & just a regular computer. I found it impossible & waisted so much time:( I have a masters degree & feel stupid:( but seriously it was impossible to get the pics where I wanted & how I wanted. Any suggestions? Maybe I will give it another try.
Hi Betty! Sorry to hear it has been difficult to create a photo book. It can take a while to put one together as you place each photo how you need it. There are a lot of layout options. I have found that it works best for me when counting all my pictures after uploading and then deciding which group of photos I would want per page. Then select a layout of the number of photos needed page by page. Hope this helps! Good luck!
That is great advice. Keeping it simple, I am doing that for sure.
Try a different Web browser or see if you need any updates on the one you ate using. It’s about impossible to make one on my phone. I make them when I have free time (but really what is that?) And buy them when the free codes pop up. It seems like every time they offer the free books, the site isn’t working properly and it freezes up on me. Hope this helps!
I also found the website hard to navigate. On the advice of a friend I downloaded the Shutterfly My Story app for my iPad and now I can easily make photo books. It’s easy to use and I love the finished product.
They have a layout with all white backgrounds, I’ve done 5 big books all which took me almost a year each- with the white layout it took 4 days!! I think simplifying the choice in backgrounds helped. Also, uploads take a while. Choose 1 day for uploads and come back another for design. I found using time order to be the easiest for me. I would search my photos “January 2015” and it would pull them all up, I did month by month till the book was done.
Can you use the code to order more than 1 book? If it’s a different order?
