Actually you can’t anymore – you could with the last one but i tried to yesterday and it only worked one time even though it still showed on my account
If I do Scenario #1 and use Points to purchase, will I still get the $7 + $5 points back?
No you cannot. Walgreens only allows you to use points and get points back if the offer is a buy X number products, get $X balance rewards. You won’t get the BR if you pay with BR since this scenario is a threshold offer (spend $X, get $X BR). Hope that makes sense.
I thought I read that this policy was changed. Not sure.
Its ony quantity deals where you can redeem and earn in the same transaction. So far the policy hasn’t changed on spend deals.
This is what it changed to. It used to be that you couldn’t get points on any deal that you redeemed points on.
Can i buy 4 sally nail products? And use 4 coupons??
I don’t really want the sally nail products but could I combine the razor/gel deal with toothpaste and mouthwash deals? Does oral care count in the 5RR for $25 deal?
Oral care does count toward the 5000 points for $25 beauty or personal care. Please note it is a point deal though, not a RR. It is considered personal care for toothpaste/floss.
Sorry got confused, I meant points. Either way, when I go out to the website to shop, mouthwash is under the personal care heading. How do you know that oral care is excluded?
I’ve had an issue with paperless coupons at Walgreens. They aren’t applying to my purchases. What do you usually do?
If they don’t apply ask your cashier and he/she should get a store leadership member to help you. Walgreens digital coupons are notorious for not working and store managers usually honor them if you pull it up on your phone and show them (at least mine do but I have great managers 😀)
Anyone know if sunscreen is considered beauty or personal care? We’re running low and I was hoping to use the coupons toward that.

So it did end up working. Apparently it comes off automatically. Anyway, I ended up getting 17,000 points. Not sure how.
I did this deal exactly and it worked and I got the $5 Catalina mentioned plus the 17000 points and some small bonus points. I decided to do the revlon nail polish deal… I had extra coupons so I got 7 nail polishes and I had a free Venus razor coupon that I got in the mail and I added some Almay products and got the $2 wg booklet coupon off. I scored again with 10000 points. I was just figuring on getting the 5000 from the ad coupon but I got the 7000 as well. I did 3 different transactions that I needed and all 3 worked for both the 5000 and 7000.
Oops my math is off! I guess I didn’t get the 7,000 but instead got a random 5,000 on the 2nd and 3rd transaction.
