Target usually does Jansport 3-4 weeks before school starts so in next 2 weeks or so.

LL Bean has some nice simple backpacks as well, but they can be pricey so watch for a sale. My son has used his for the last 2 school years (pre-k and K) and he will use it again this coming year. They are $30 right now, but I know I didn’t pay that much for my son’s.
