We got a small 8 piece set of these blocks a few months ago and it was a LIFESAVER this past Friday! We were on a 5 hour flight with my rambunctious 12-month-old daughter (on my lap) and she quietly played with it for at least an hour! Yay! LOL! She did drop some of the blocks every now and then, but we made sure she hadn’t seen the toy until we were on the flight, so she was completely engrossed in it and made the flight so much more bearable!

My second thought ( after my first thoughts being, “these look so great! Maybe I should get them) was, “nah, my kids would probably lose these.” My kids are 4, 2, and 8 months so they seem to young to keep track of these. Maybe only bring them out when supervised? Or get them now and wait till they’re older and more responsible. If they were regular wooden blocks that weren’t so pricy I wouldn’t care as much. What are your thoughts having a 1 yr old?

She was on my lap and my husband was sitting next to us, so she was definitely supervised. Because they are magnetic, she was able to click them together and she found it amazing. We helped her a lot too, though. But as babies have a tendency to do, she doesn’t hold onto them very well and would randomly drop them… so we eventually put down the tray table to catch it (most of the time). That being said, I would say she is a little too young for them and I wouldn’t have her play with them unsupervised because the magnets are a bit strong and I’d be afraid she’d somehow pinch her tiny finger in between 2 blocks. But I will definitely be keeping them as an “emergency toy” when I need something quiet, interesting, and easy to travel (the set I got even came with a little travel pouch). And maybe when she’s a little older, get a larger set for at home.

I have a small set and absolutely LOVE them, my kids always fight over who gets to play with them! Great deal!
