Can I sign up for Amazon alerts for tomorrow’s deals?

  2. Mom of 5 boys

I sure hope it’s better than last year’s sale. It was more like a bad garage sale! 😨

    • Member

      Agreed.

    • Jo28p

I was thinking that too! I don’t think I bought anything last year. I’ve been previewing the stuff and there’s nothing in interested in enough to wake up early for…maybe later in the day.

      • Ariel

Where can you preview the items?

        • Jo28p

I have the Amazon app and you can see what deals are coming up but it doesn’t let you see the price. I choose to watch what I’m interested in. You can narrow by category so you don’t have to look at them all.

    • tipaye

      Exactly! lol

    • Melloddie

Seriously! It was such a flop. I guess it can’t be worse πŸ˜›

  3. drtanne

^That is what I was thinking… and hoping for.

  4. JB

I was wondering what happens tomorrow? I am a Prime member – will I get emails, do I go on Amazon to find the deals each hour or what? What am I looking for?

    • Susan

I’d like to know this too. There’s all this hype, but no one is saying where to actually look for the deals. Are they all lightening deals? Do you look under the Todays Deals tab? Is there a way to get a preview of what’s to come? A little extra information would be greatly appreciated

      • Nicole

They are all lightning deals under the today’s deals tab!

    • lenin1991

Since Amazon promises such a huge number of deals, don’t expect e-mails. At least last year, deals go live on a minute-by-minute basis — for example, a couple items at 11:35, a couple more at 11:36, etc. The site (and mobile app) will be the best bet. You’ll probably want to plan on some mix of browsing as well as targeting anything you have your eye on. You can set alerts so that if at 11am you see something interesting set for 5pm, you’ll get a reminder.

  5. Laura

I’m new to Amazon prime (joined over this past year), what do I look for as far as sales? Do I get emails?

    • Elizabeth M

Go to today’s deals, than on the left, lighting deals

  6. Michele

I didn’t think there was really any good deals last year.

    • Melloddie

I think the only good deal they had was on a TV and that was about it

  7. Stacykay

Was there any deals on vacuums last year?

  8. dre222

Here’s Amazon’s instructions for not missing deals through their app. https://www.amazon.com/b/ref=s9_acss_bw_sc_pdt7_ar_s2?_encoding=UTF8&node=14730501011&ref=pd_leadup&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-8&pf_rd_r=QGVXN0XSMCRSC42G56Q3&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=2523371082&pf_rd_i=11448061011

My advice for deaktop is click “Today’s Deals” in the banner under the general search box. Once the page loads, scroll down and on the left you will see a section called “Deal Type”. Click “Lightning Deals” or “Prime Early Access Deals”. Then you can either browse everything they have currently on and on-deck, or you can further narrow by choosing a Department. You’ll have the best chance at snagging deals that haven’t gone live yet. So keep browsing until you see the “Watch this deal” button. You can click it and get a notification either on your phone (enable Amazon app notifications) or in your browser (download Amazon Assistant extension for Chrome). They already have Prime Exclusive deals listed beginning around 3 am tomorrow you can add to your watched deals. There is a link at the top of the Deals page today (https://www.amazon.com/gp/goldbox/watching) to see your watched deals in a browser. In the app, it’s a tab called “Watching”.

Hope this helps, and hope they have something decent this year. So far Cell Phones & Accessories looks better than last year bfrom what I see coming up at 3:30 ish am.

    • dre222

Apologies for the typos above: *desktop, *from, *on the

    • Laura

      Thank you for the info!!

    • tipaye

      Thanks so much! πŸ™‚

  9. Monkey

I hope there is a good deal on a convertible car seat!!!!πŸ€”

    • Nicole

I saw several convertible car seats for tomorrow

  10. Crashburn

The app is great for this. You can view the deals under ‘today’s deals’ and then the ‘upcoming’ tab. It shows you deals that go live in the next 24 hours. You can then mark ‘watching’ and you’ll get a push notification 10min before it goes live!

    • Nicole

      This right here! ^^^

  11. Chris

I think I got a good deal on a Graco car seat/stroller combo last year. $100 off the sale price. Lots of complements on it too. They did two different colors at different times.

  12. Jenni

The thought of it is less than exciting based on last years experience. In less than 60 seconds the tv was sold out…yes, I took screenshots, only to be insulted with a robo-response from their customer service. πŸ˜”

    • Nicole

I agree with this. Everything I waited for was sold out immediately except for toilet paper, so that’s all I got. Lame.

  13. Liz

My daughter said last year was a dud. That she felt it was all warehouse get rid of it junk. Hope it’s better this year. I used and preferred Walmart free shipping of today.

  14. tam

I’ve gotten some good deals on subscribe and save and prime pantry already this week. Plus used my 20% off code on warehouse item. I’m happy even if tomorrow is a flop.

    • Ester

      Where is the warehouse code?

      • tam

Wdearly20 came via email from amazon.

  15. Stacie Frost

Are there any deals for cell phones?

  16. Abbie

I just got a PS4 game in the mail today from Amazon Prime and noticed that it will be about $10 cheaper tomorrow. Would Amazon credit me the difference?

    • Member

They used to. But not anymore πŸ™

    Amazon’s Yearly Garage Sale

  18. Kiwi

I’m glad everyone thinks last year was a flop. While they didn’t have much that fit my life, it worked for some. I did get a few deals and was quite thankful. A dollar saved is worth it if I’m already planning on buying the item.

    • tipaye

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. πŸ™‚

  19. Brittany

So deals will only be posted as lightning deals?

  20. Kim Tenny

Well….don’t get paid til Thursday so nothing for me. Thanks AP.

  21. ashley

Dont forget if you have an Amazon Visa you can use code VISA30 tomm to get $30 off a $150 purchase πŸ™‚

    • Bethany

Kind of a crappy deal unless you’re buying something big. There is no putting things in your cart to get to the minimum cuz they’ll sell out!

A day to buy a bunch of junk you don’t need.

  24. Amy Capps

I am newer to Prime. Did they have stroller umbrellas last year?

    • Amy Capps

      Oops, I meant lightweight strollers.

  25. Queenjen87

Yeah I’ve looked ahead to the lightening deals. Not a whole lot I’m interested in unfortunately πŸ™ I’m watching a couple things to see if the price is worth it, but that’s about it.

  26. Julianne

Finally got my instant pot! 6qt $70

  27. Bethany

The app is a bit annoying. I’ve UNwatched a few deals by accident now because I hit the UNwatch button by accident grrr

  28. Kristyn

Check on the bottom of the deals page on all other amazon deals. There are like 150 pages of extra discounts. There are a lot of coupons plus discount plus subscribe and save. Seventh generation diaper packs like %75 off, pampers %50. I just added 52 items to my subbed and save there are so many good deals. I can always edit it later πŸ˜‰

    • ashley

I was just coming to say that πŸ™‚ grocery, home, personal care, beauty. Lots of subscribe and save deals that have additional prime day %’s off. On top of that look for items that also have coupons as they are making for awesome deals!
I got like 10 different kinds of Peets coffee 12oz size for under $2 each.
Some good deals on diapers Pampers and Seventh Gen.

  29. maria

Is $70 a good price for the 6 in 1 instant pot? Just another thing I don’t needπŸ˜‹
